End of month kinda. Will it soon be ready do you think? :-) I'm only interested in the true multi kits.

+4. We're still working on it. It takes awhile and now we have the new V-Drum hi hat to add in as well. But, what we could do for the anxious DM1 users is start to update kit by kit into your user area. If so we could possibly start doing that by the end of this coming week. Let me see about that. It's getting very close.

Hey Squids,

Have you by any chance figured out the final details with regards to what we are getting in DM free updates and how much we have to pay for the extra content? I'm thinking mostly of the Signature Kits, since it is my understanding that there will be a small fee to pay for the brand new stuff.

I'm trying to figure out how much overlap there is with the current Group Buy, since I would hope that upgrading my Drum Masters Gold collection with the extra fee for the Signature Kits should give me pretty much all of the kits in the GB (especially since I have previously bought the RingBeats, Bongo and Classic Rock MT kits as well).

I'm still trying to decide whether it is really worth my while to join the GB or not. Didn't you say, at some point, that In Drum Masters 2 all kits would be provided in both MT and STm format? I may not be remembering this clearly, so please advise. Thanks. :-)

Only the Platinum Edition has both MT and STm. In fact, the other versions are now split up. Signature is for stereo as well as individual artist paks that have STm kits + grooves. Drum Masters 2 Multitrack is sort of like Gold but less money and doesn't have the stereo material that Gold had. But DM2 Platinum will have almost ALL of it.

But, if you own the kit from DM1 then you'll get a free set of NKI and NKM patches for it. However, not the samples and in the case of the STm versions of Classic Rock, RingBeats etc. those have never existed before so you can't have the samples unless you get them in the Signature collection or this GB. I think it might be better to get this GB for that. A lot of STm kits people don't have and the price is the same as it would be to upgrade to get just the stuff you don't have so... might as well.

How much will it cost for me to upgrade from Drum Masters Gold to Drum Masters 2 Platinum? When you say that Platinum will have "almost" all of it, it leads me to wonder if there is stuff in the GB which isn't included? Are all the signature kits included in Platinum? I'd rather pay a bit more and get everything...

Holy crap Squids, I only have a Bachelor's degree......can you simplify this somehow? :( :?

The reason I say PLatinum has nearly all of it is mainly because there is an ever-expanding product line here... for instance it won't have Neil Peart Drums despite that being part of the Drum Masters series nor will it have the EpiK Drummers of Ken Scott's Collection. But it WILL have everything the first DM1 Platinum had and more. So, yes, it will have ALL of the Drum Masters 2 Signature (STm) kits from the first group buy and this one in it as well as the multitrack kits and grooves of Jerry Marotta, Ed Greene, Nick D'Virgilio, John Blackwell and Danny Gottlieb as well as their stereo grooves. It also has a bunch of style kits and grooves as well but some come with it and some you get to choose. I will have more about that by the end of the week as well as the price to just upgrade to the full thing.

I will soon show you a new chart of what has what so it is even more clear. We're just not ready yet but almost! Getting closer every day.

Have fun. It doesn't sound easy to think of every small detail in these upgrades and group buys. I'm not envious. :)

Yeah, but if you've got the money, it's usually worthwhile to join up. The road may take a lot of twists and turns, and you might not always get there as quick as you like, but Squids usually takes pretty good care of his GB customers in the end. :)

This is going to start happening kit by kit toward hopefully at the end of this coming week. It will just show up as an update in your user area on esoundz. But, I will give a more official answer once it has started. The kits themselves are being finalized now.

Woohoo, GB No 2 and this to look forward to!
