What tuner? I can't see it. edit: OK I see it now!hibidy wrote:Oh yes sir! Reported those two.......it's the little things that sometimes get me the most. Have you noticed the tuner to be a bit less "fidgety" as wellzerocrossing wrote:You know, we can talk about tone until we're blue in the face, but how about that little tuner on the bottom of the UI? How great is that? Also, right click midi learn makes my heart skip a beat.

Looking into the speed trainer thing. Have a feeling it's my lack of experience with it (I only have had the beta for 3 ish days) so reading up on it right now and I'll try to get back to you on this.pinpot wrote:Hi guys,
I have downloaded the demo on my Win XP32, somehow the GUI is not fully displayed and the bottom end of it is cut out, and when I try to maximise the screen, it doesn't work, either. Furthermore, the sound quality of the Speed Trainer (when importing / playing back an mp3 file) is awful + no sounds coming out from my guitar... does anyone else have these issues? Or am I missing something very basic here...?

Ok, first off when loading a file into slot 1 of the 4 track/speedtrainer the "amplitube: on off switch will be on. Try loading the file into track two. When you select a new track on 2-4 it will show "click on the amplitube button to activate on the selected track" which means the imported audio will NOT be routed to amplitube (which is why it sounds so bad when you load in into track one by default...it's going through the amp!)hibidy wrote:Looking into the speed trainer thing. Now, if you have loaded the track onto 2-4 go back to track one and load the preset of your choice. If the RECORD led immd to the right of the first track is engaged, you should be able to hear your guitar playing. So now you should have two tracks with separate volume, pan, pitch and tempo.
Hope that makes sense

And .......... about two hours in now. This thing is blowing my mind. I haven't gone that deep into it, preferring to stick with a couple of rigs and see how the controls are responding. It seems to me that the tone shaping controls are working a lot better than the amp2 ones. (at least the ones I was trying)
Also the Roland Jazz chorus surprised me. I LOVE it! I could not stop playing it. I'd forgotten all about that amp even though I had access to one for a few years back in the day. I've only gotten to the AC30 and the Jazz Chorus and the Fender clean. I've been using my '69 tele to audition the sim.
The only thing that hasn't convinced me is the spring reverb. It sounds really sproingy. Maybe that's how it's supposed to sound but I've played Fenders all my life and they usually don't get that wacked until you turn it up past 4 or so. Actually the two spring units sound quite a bit better to me but of course they're not stock.
I'll do a little more tooling around with the Fender models and see what I think. Peter, are the models included as good as Amplitube Fender? Or anyone else with access to both products can chime in.
Thanks IK! y'all rock

Cheers for that, yeah, I figured that out after I posted it here, silly me!hibidy wrote:Ok, first off when loading a file into slot 1 of the 4 track/speedtrainer the "amplitube: on off switch will be on. And I changed the screen resolution (was 1024x768) to higher, now I can see the whole GUI but only on the maximised screen (with blank "margin" around).
But anyways, thanks, guys!

I'm downloading it right now, and I'm really looking forward to trying it--especially that IK Multimedia finally abandoned their previous crappy preset browsing system. I really really hated it.
So those of you that have also tried Podfarm, Guitar Rig 4, and other competitor's products--is the war officially over? Has Amplitube 3 won?

I'll have to disagree with you here... NOTHING on the current Orange line sounds like the old amps... not even the OR50. The new amps are completely different circuits.Amberience wrote:If you want a great amp that can be loud and quiet, and has that Orange tone... Orange Dual Terror. that being said... AT3 sounds and, more importantly, feels a lot like my Orange. Obviously there is something missing from standing in front of a cranked amp and letting the massive amounts of bass flap your bell-bottoms but this thing sounds goooooood

Well maybe because I'm using cans it really feels beefy. The other sims (IK included) have sounded great for some time now, but there is a certain feel to this. A cabinet growl....I can almost feel the wood and speakers vibrating!

Anyone having problems with certain things? First of all, I get no sound from the new Mesa MKIII Lead amp and also the VOX TB Copper face amp. They load when I select them, but all I get are a pop and a reverb click sound as soon as they load up, but nothing after that.
I had an error with the standalone version when I changed my audio settings on my Stealth Pedal (plus I still have not got that interface to work right in a some what low latency playable mode without crackles/pops/dropout/crashing). Now I can't even start the standalone version again, it just resorts to a Microsoft program error box and asks if I'd like to send a report etc...
I am running Win XP SP2 32bit on a 3 year old 3ghz core2duo with 4 gig RAM, and IK's own Stealth Pedal. I do have an M-Audio Mobile Pre interface installed too, that I can test on (which I know will work without problems). I would like to know IK's magic computer setup that gets thier products to work without a hitch.
Anyway, I have not gone through all the amps yet. But what I hear so far is awesome. Man that Orange amp rocks. Running OD/Dist pedals through the transparent Roland amp is real nice. The cab section plus the Leslie is simply amazing. And the little things like being able to drag and drop, make it so much better.

Ableton Live 6 and also standalone, with the Mesa MKIII Lead and Vox TB Copperface not emitting any sound. I tried those amps in the standalone and same thing. I then tweaked audio settings on my Stealth Pedal and it went haywire and crashed my computer and rebooted. But now I can't even get the standalone version to open back up. First thing I see is a Crash Report error box when trying to open standalone.

Probably stupid question, but: how can I put chorus (or other effect) from the stomp page AFTER amp?

I should say I did like how it auto detected the Steath Pedal and was automatically setup to control any wah pedal as soon as you loaded it in a stomp slot. Seems my Vox hardware wah pedal will collect even more dust now.
