Some great sounds here, but I'm sad to see some of the AT2 usability issues still present:
* Reverb presets way too high
* Digital reverb not very controllable - need to set mix to near-zero to not drown, and room-size not really variable
* presets in pop-up lists which need to be scrolled because they are not big enough (a multi-column list like many Digidesign plugin presets would be better). the browser is useful, but the GUI needs an update and rethink

I hope to see some changes like this sooner or later

Just out of curiosity, why would you want a boxed version of this? It is a tiny download, and you have internet access. If you want a back up copy, all you have to do is copy the installer to another hard drive or burn it onto a CD or DVD.

I don't get why a boxed version of this product even exists other than to make it available in retail stores.

Oh, I dunno about that. I've still got my boxed versions of AT2 and fender (both from esoundz BTW) and I like it. Do I need them? No, not really......but having that box is something I certainly relate to.

Because I thought that only the boxed version was available through esoundz (which was the official position). I missed the part where you could make a special request for a download.

I believe you are only going to get a serial number for having joined in on this deal, and then you will download the product from IK Multimedia directly (which you can do right now).

The boxed version will probably cost you additional money, plus shipping. But eSoundz has sent me the boxes before (sometimes when I didn't expect it, and at no additional cost to me) so who knows what will happen here. The boxes are definitely pretty, and I would probably keep it if I got it... but I wouldn't pay shipping or any extra in order to get it.

Well, I pre-ordered this a couple weeks ago, and still no movement on it on esoundz.com, and nothing in my downloads section either. I have no idea what the hell is going on with any of it.

Yea, actually I'm pretty quick to anger, and I'm pretty much always angry anyway, even without something to frustrate me or piss me off. But after I posted it, I decided there was no point. I'll either get the download or I won't. People get screwed everyday, nothing I can do about it if it happens.

Not really sure where you are coming from with this. The frustration is unnecessary. I posted a link for downloading the product at the top of the previous page. It was only released yesterday. What's the problem?

The problem is that I pre-ordered and paid for a full product. Why in the world would I want the demo version? What did I pay for then?
