OK, I rolled CronoX 3 back to 3.08, and it loads the Sophistry presets perfectly, both the one's on the DVD and the one's that came in the soundbank.
I then installed 3.50, it worked great.
I then installed another fresh download of 3.60, and it is hosed.
I am guessing that something is wrong with the 32-bit version of 3.60.
I am on 32-bit XP, SP3, I am using VST Host for comparison purposes, but can reproduce the bug in Reaper, Orion, FL Studio, Acid Pro.

BTW Frank:
I should have said this earlier - thank you for trying to make this work. I appreciate the effort on your part. It is just a bad timing kind of thing more than anything else./b]
Ofcourse i help you and peter to find bugs, i want that every user can use the great presets from Sophistry to make music. It was big fun for me to make the presets...
The Sophistry presets are by far my favorites.
Thank you.

I jave one last idea, please, look at the mod page row4 if there are some parameters in it, if yes, please, switch them off... But on the other hand it has nothing to do with a corrupt wav file.. Hm.... Peter will be back next week, maybe he has an idea...

I just went through this also. I was installing 3.60 on a fresh OS install so I just downloaded that separate CronoX factory sound library and needed this password. Peter emailed me it to me on Wednesday. Not sure what's up there. I guess they assumed no one would be doing installs with it until they had time to distribute the password.rictheobscene wrote:it is the Crono X3 factory library that is asking for the password. Used to, it was a part of the installer, but it has been split out.
Anyhow, I am hosed until their tech support guys can get to it.
Can't help with the Sophistry issues, I never owned that.

OK, whew, at least I am not imagining the password thing. I have a mail into support that includes the purchase information. So, I am sure Peter will handle it soon. Thank you for chiming in.mn wrote:I just went through this also. I was installing 3.60 on a fresh OS install so I just downloaded that separate CronoX factory sound library and needed this password. I apologize for being unclear. It isn't just one Sophistry preset that will not load correctly into CronoX 3.60, it is all of them. Every single one of them exhibits the waveform discrepancy. And, everyone of them work fine in Sophistry v. 3.08 and CronoX 3.50. I stayed up all night testing. If it was corrupt data files, I would expect the discrepancy to occur with every version of the plugs.
I may be talking out my arse here, as I am clueless about the inner workings of the code, but based on what I have observed here, I would say that 3.60 is not loading the sample files from Sophistry correctly. Again, this is something that Peter will have to resolve, and I am confident he will take care of it.
Until then, I will use 3.50. It is workable.
Again, thank you to everyone who has tried to help.

Thank you Ric and Frank for detailed report on this problem.
I can confirm that the problem exists with CronoX 3.6 and we'll fix it.

I have posted a screen shot of a Windows explorer window that shows the patch name. It is as I described in my initial post. This patch came off of the Sophistry DVD I received in the mail following placing my order. The banks on that CD differ from the downloaded sound set banks.

There is a bug in the Loop-Sampler that pretty much kills any harmonics in a couple of samples, we'll release a fix asap. Thanks
