I am trying out the Alpha 3.1.1 AudioUnits demo, and consistently get big (90-100%) cpu spikes on every note on/off event. If I hold a note, the cpu usage settles down to a low level, and then on the note off - a huge spike. I don't experience the problem with FreeAlpha, nor with the Alpha VSTi. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what could be going on?
My system: OSX 10.5.8, Logic 9.1, 3Gb 667 RAM, 2.0GHz intel C2D.

I don't see it here on 10.6.2 and Logic 9.1.
Can you give me more details about your audio settings in Logic? Sample Rate, buffer size....

Correction, I don't see the spikes in full version, but they are on MIDI note on/off with demo version. Strange enough, we'll investigate this.

sample rate 44.1; buffer size 256 samples
I am getting similar cpu spikes with the Cronox3 and Albino demos. But not on the Octopus demo. Thanks for looking into this!
