When you say "we mainly use synths," which "we" are you referring to? I mainly use guitars and bass. It appears I'm not alone.
Yeah, you're not alone! :D

Yes.

And ............ "we" mostly use guitars.

And to expand ........... I'm totally blown away by this. I just finished my gig tonight and half the time I was wishing there was a way I could comfortably bring my laptop down and crank it up. Through my studio monitors and a good input chain I forget that I'm playing through a sim.

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for the tip. I'll try it for sure. Be kind of a bread and butter reverb I suppose. There's still a place for the rather nice digital reverb though when you want that swimmy thing.

And ......... there must be something about modeling that makes it hard to capture subtle fx. Most (all?) of the verb knobs go from off to way too loud immediately.

For those of us who frequently record guitar and bass, yes this is worthy of the hype it's getting. As much as I enjoy my synths, there's nothing like wailing on my Schecter Corsair or my Fender P-Bass thru this new Amplitube 3 and laying down sweet sounding tracks with the new features (Not to mention being on stage playing said instruments thru real amps).

For me personally, playing and arranging my synth parts is such an entirely different experience than pounding out a guitar or bass part. Obviously they both have their place, both are fun. Just different. Go Amplitube 3!

Does anybody here have the full version already? Is it normal in the full version that switching to an AT3 window takes a loooooong time as it happens here in the demo? If so I won't bother with the demo anymore. Too anoying. And I have only two guitar tracks right now.

It seems to me that AT3 is faster than AT2. Changing sounds, windows etc. is almost seamless. I'm on Mac Pro.

Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Apologies, but the CE-1 thread had me correcting that soon after, didn't mean to confuse anything. The rack Stereo Chorus is stereo as it was in previous versions. Edit - I've also been discussing and suggesting things as far as maybe some more stereo options so maybe there will be some cool updates on this front.
Peter, I'm sorry but you're still confusing people. The rack Analog Chorus (and in fact all the other effects) are NOT true stereo. They may have stereo output but they DON'T have a stereo input. So they can not really process stereo information, only mono. As it was mentioned by asseca, you can use the new routing to achieve dual-mono processing but that's not stereo.

Switching windows is no problem here in Reaper | Usine, Win7 x64, AMD Quadcore, 3GB RAM. Instantiating the plug-in once takes about two seconds though, but I don't consider this a problem.

No you're probably not alone. When I say 'we' I'd suggest that the majority of users on this forum are synth driven, that's all. No offence meant or implied :D

You really believe that their aren't a lot of musicians here that don't predominantly play guitar and/or bass? While I'm sure a large portion of the KVR family are only using synths, I'm pretty sure many are either adding guitar and bass to their music (even through Samples that still need amp processing.) Also don't discount the number of folks creating rock and metal or pop that all are driven by guitar and bass.

Pretty narrow minded question? Sounds like one of those I don't so why do you type questions. Also - Amplitube has been used by countless number of folks for instrument processing outside of the guitar and bass world - it can be used on synth leads, synth bass, you name it - it can be applied.

Even though I do play the guitar and make some guitar based music every once in a while, the real reason I bought Amplitube 3 is exactly what you mentioned. It's for processing other sound sources. It's a sound designers toy-box-deluxe this thing!! All those nice little pedals and such easily justify the asking price, imho.

Cheers!
