I've had a great time fooling around with the demo. I still haven't figured out how to control parameters (like the Leslie speed control) in Sonar from my controller, but it sounds real good. I'll probably upgrade one of these days.

The new MIDI learn feature is pretty powerful. You can have all 3 Wah pedals automated simultaneously via MIDI learn.
Depending on which Wah tone you need to audition, just turn off the other two.

I actually prefer Amplitube 3's Fender models.esteso wrote:are the models included as good as Amplitube Fender?

Me too, what with the added features on top of the better cabs and room, etc.MickGael wrote:I actually prefer Amplitube 3's Fender models.esteso wrote:are the models included as good as Amplitube Fender?

Funny, you mention Tool.Amberience wrote: Big fan of Tool; but I listen to looooaaaaddds of stuff; my taste is varied.
The swell effect is greaatt!
If the preset "tool" is aimed at their guitar tone than it's terribly off.
I expected cranked mids and found a highly scooped sound which doesn't have anything in common with Adam Jones sound.

You guys have me all confused now. I guess I'll get unconfused when I demo "Fender" today and compare it to amp3. But don't the original fender models have access to the cabs and room in A3 when loaded from A3?
And if that's true why would the models in A3 be any better? A little further along in the modeling timeline?

Every cabinet was redone. The models in AT3 take what we learned in Fender AND beyond. So yes, they have access to the cabs and rooms from within AT3 which is why the AT3 Fender models might sound even better to many.

I think the Fender models sound pretty much the same when you've got one mic on axis right up against the grill, but once you add the multiple mics, play with the room levels, etc. they really start to come to life.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Every cabinet was redone. Not to hijack this thread, but it seems as good a place as any to ask Peter from IK a direct question about Amplitube 3.
I appreciate the depth the new preset database offers. My question is: is it in any way user editable?
For example, when choosing "pickup type" I do not see "P90." If there a way for users to add that as a type?
How flexible (and user-editable) is it?

It isn't, but we can suggest new fields/values for it for sure.MickGael wrote:Not to hijack this thread, but it seems as good a place as any to ask Peter from IK a direct question about Amplitube 3.

Not sure where it would live, but it might make for a nice "sticky"...Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:It isn't, but we can suggest new fields/values for it for sure.MickGael wrote:Not to hijack this thread, but it seems as good a place as any to ask Peter from IK a direct question about Amplitube 3.

Please put in my request to add:
Neck+Bridge as a pickup position (Telecasters, Jazz Masters, Les Pauls, etc)
and:
P90
J-Master
Lace Sensor
as pickup types.
