AT2 could play mp3 files in but it seems as if AT3 only does WAW, or am I missing something. I whish there was a way to figure out what the, iS, i1, i2 in the 4 trach mean..... and so on.
Which system are you on? Mine installed in win7 under IK multimedia, Amplitube 3, and the manual is in there.
Ok, I found it in the Program folder on the C drive. I was expecting it in the Zip file with the installation program or to be able to pull it up from AT.

Thanks.

The four track is fun. The biggest thing to remember is that there can literally be 4 versions of AT running at the same time! So when importing clips (mp3's imported find here) you'll need to make sure amplitube is not engaged on that track.

Post

and i already mentioned i am getting a 10% cpu hit just loading and playing a drum loop on the 4 track (with no amplitube added on the track) is that normal for others too?

Good news for all those complaining about CPU load - every additional instance almost doesn't register on Cubase's ASIO meter here, and I'm using full quality @ 128 buffers atm.

Today just put new strings on my custom Ibanez and played through my favorite Amplitube 3 amp for now - MKIII

CPU isn't much different from X-Gear. How many instances can you open?
Intel Core2 Quad CPU + 4 GIG RAM

New strings are good, I hate changing them though. I always wind up sticking my finger, after 40 years of it you would think I could do it better. I started out with black diamond strings, don't know if they make them anymore, but, they would wear out a set of fingers real fast.

Me too  every freakin time

I hate new strings, I bought 25 sets june of 07, 6 guitars and I have 22 sets left, one of those went on my friend's kid's guitar when I put EMGS in it for them.

It's why I dont like Dean Markleys, they hold onto that new sound too long. I play very aggressively but I dont break strings often, I even use a brass pick sometimes

btw I'm not bald but the last time I cut my hair was for my 20th reunion, my 30th was 2 years ago

Yeah, I'm not really a "new string guy" any more. I think I HAD to change strings when I broke then fixed the whammy on my main recording axe and I can't even remember when that was.

That's my impression, too. Haven't tried the number of instances, but a lot for sure. At 128 buffers one HQ instance is about 10% to 15%, 3 of them maybe 17% or so. Going to 1024 approximately halves the load. That's on a Q9450 @ 3.2, so not even a contemporary machine.
Really acceptable imho, especially since this is all HQ.

I never liked the sound of brand new strings. They get the right tone after about 2 weeks for me.
Loved Maxima Gold strings while I lived in Germany but they don't have them here in the US and I think they stopped making them a while ago too. What a shame. Those were the best strings ever.
