Hi Andy,
Why my download section still shows only 1.0.15 beta and not the final version? Thanks!

I've labelled v1.0.15 as "beta" until a there has been bit more testing of it in the wild. As far as I can tell from my own testing it should be more stable than previous versions, but I would prefer to be cautious, as there are lots of systems out there. As soon as I'm more confident with it's stability I will remove the "beta" tag.penguinfromdeep wrote:Hi Andy,

Don't forget to tell us about it...andy_cytomic wrote:As soon as I'm more confident with it's stability I will remove the "beta" tag
(and also about 1.0.16)
Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

For very customer that has indicated they want to be notified via email in their account preferences I'll send them an email. I'll also post a news item at the cytomic web page as well as here.Tp3 wrote:Don't forget to tell us about it...andy_cytomic wrote:As soon as I'm more confident with it's stability I will remove the "beta" tag![]()

I'm experiencing serious problems downloading the latest 1.0.15 (I saw it is reported as stable for production). I use Free Download Manager as my download accelerator/manager. When I first clicked on the download link in my account I read I had to disable any download managers/accelerators, I did. I even stopped it from monitoring my downloads. I've tried almost everything (I do not really want to uninstall FDM because of this). Andrew, could you please give me a hand?

Hi Mercado, I've emailed your copy to you. A few people have had trouble in the past usually due to some funny combination of network settings, proxy server, bad internet connection etc, and it's quicker for me to just email them a copy. Usually the problem resolves itself.Mercado_Negro wrote:I'm experiencing serious problems downloading the latest 1.0.15 (I saw it is reported as stable for production). Not sure if this was raised before. Can the developer consider producing a rack-like shell to contain more than one instance of The Glue. Some more interesting effects can only be seen when chaining instances in the same channel. It would improve the workflow as instances are snapshot in the same interface and no need to flick between them.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have thought about this kind of thing before, specifically for a compressor -> limiter, or a mid side type setup where you need two sets of controls. Although this is useful it would complicate the interface and be beyond the scope of what The Glue is intended for so will not be done. To do it properly would require a complete redesign of the gui and internal audio engine and end up being a new product since with two sets of controls then you are in the realms of not just mid side or chaining but also surround sound.pikadilly wrote:Not sure if this was raised before. If you are not keen on simply having two compressors one after the other in your host and putting each editor next to each other then I suggest using a modular plugin host that is itself a plugin. This way you can also set up more complex sidechain filtering as well as saving all the settings together as a single chunk.

No problem bringing something up that has been discussed before, this thread is quite long and hard to search.Epiphany wrote:hi Andy, how about an optional Auto Gain Makeup? Would be really useful.
Sorry if this has been discussed before.
I don't have plans to add automatic makeup gain to The Glue. I wanted to keep the operation of The Glue as close as possible to the original SSL 4000 bus comp and felt that auto makeup gain would not only add another control on screen, but add no additional sonic variation or flexibility of the compressor to handle different source material.
