I will buy the Littleone soon because I like the warm sound. :-)
I like the presets too but in my ears they are more "modern".
I would like some more classical sounds like Jarre, Vangelis and Rick Wakeman.
Do you see a chance for such sounds?
At the moment i see a quite high potential for this Little synth. Currently i'm transferring the factory sounds from the Little Phatty Tribute and Stage Edition (both different) which i got from the Little Phatty Editor demo version.
Another free bank with modified LittleOne factory sounds and new sounds is currently at around 80 patches.
I tried to transfer some of my Patches for Strobe (from Synth Squad) including, Synth Brass, Strings and the Vox Humania patch (known from the song "Cars").

That's enough work for the moment but when i finished the first bank i'll open a new thread about "LittleOne patch share" since there's no company forum so far.

After finishing current work later i'll maybe do more patches, including some "classics". I own Minimonsta so maybe i could reprogram some of the Wakeman patches for the current bank. I already planned this.

Hi Igonator,
many thanks for your work. :-)

Thanks, but i'll share the honor with Bruno Bordi from Xhun who made this nice little synth. :)

I seriously don't see all the fuss about this synth. After all it's just another SE synth. Also there is yet another little phatty clone out there that's only £15 and in my opinion sounds a hell of a lot better than the Little One - but that's going from the audio demos alone.

according to that evil bay listing i just linked to, it says that its not a VSTi??? - no wonder why I could't find it in the database!
Surely this is the VST age and we've developed since the standalone age?

I also bought the Prophet 5 synth from Analog Synth Lab at EBay some time ago but since it's not available as a plugin i almost never used it. :(

:!: I started a new thread about LittleOne patches share here:

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 65#3993165

A first soundset and an Init bank are added there. More will follow.

Hi, sorry for the late but it's only now I had time to read ALL the thread and reply.

I post here just to say that -yes- I'm sorry for the terrible mistake I made compiling without my own licensed version.
I will try to be not so stupid in the future.

About Physical Modeling (why he used PhM?, Is SE capable of emulating analog component singnal flow?) and so on, I will be happy to join a fair discussion here in the future.

At last, many thanks to people here who tried and appreciated LittleOne.

Bye

I tried the demo and think Little One sounds really good, and I am pretty sensitive to things like fatness/warmth/analogue, and all those other bullshit terms that people throw out there to market their synths. :hihi: (I kid! I kid!)

But seriously, people shouldn't knock a synth simply because it's synthedit. I used to be that way too, but since then I've discovered synthedit synths and effects which are among the best I have. It really is about the developer's skill. And I think Little One sounds very good.

Would I pay 45euros for it? Not sure. It is kind of basic on features; on the other hand, I've come to realize that sound quality often trumps feature count.
A well-behaved signature.

Still no gui in the latest Littleone build under Cubase 5. The presets now can be accessed and I can assign controls to the various parameters using quick controls so I know that the engine is responding. The gui will not open and when you unload the VSTi from the instrument track it crashes Cubase. Getting close but still not there. - Scotty

Same here. I wonder if it has something to do with SynthEdit, because I have almost the same issue with Prodyon's LiveMachine, which is also SE based :?

Post

Well I quite like the sound of the synth and would consider it albeit it would have to be in the under $25.00 range to generate a sale from me at least. I hope he addresses the gui /Cubase 5 issue. i'd like to interact with it a bit more.

+1

I would pay up to €30 for it but i own already "similar" stuff like Imposcar, Oddity and Minimonsta.

Btw: Looks like it's impossible to select a clean saw without small amounts of the previous triangle and the next square? Is this a bug or a feature?

Post

I think its a bad emulation...you can get a clean saw on a real Little Phatty

Yep looks like that...
There are no arpeggiators, sequencers or effects, however.

So it's something like the LittePhatty ... but not an 1:1 emu.
