Anyone know if the american tube vintage and american vintage B (both fender bassman sims) work as electric bass amps? I didn't see any bass presets for them.

Just switch them to a bass cab and go.maximilians1 wrote:Anyone know if the american tube vintage and american vintage B (both fender bassman sims) work as electric bass amps? I didn't see any bass presets for them.

I tried them out last night actually!-i found i had to drop the input gain otherwise they get buzzy pretty quick.maximilians1 wrote:Anyone know if the american tube vintage and american vintage B (both fender bassman sims) work as electric bass amps? I didn't see any bass presets for them.
But not a bad bass sound otherwise.

I just got done playing with AmpliTube 3 again.
Man, that JCM 800 sounds 10 times better now!
All the old amps sound so much cleaner and clearer now. There are so many other little details throughout the entire package that have been improved that don't get any mention.

cool , I'm away from my bass now, but won't the matched cab of 2X15 closed work?surferman wrote:Just switch them to a bass cab and go.maximilians1 wrote:Anyone know if the american tube vintage and american vintage B (both fender bassman sims) work as electric bass amps? Just thought it was strange there not being any bass presets for these amps I thought they were famous for bass sounds as well, but will give them a try when i get the chance

I own a '66 Bassman head that just kills for bass (as well as guitar). The same is true in AmpliTube 3 (provided you pick the right cab). The blonde version can get you some fantastic Macca tones (if that's your cup of tea).maximilians1 wrote:Anyone know if the american tube vintage and american vintage B (both fender bassman sims) work as electric bass amps? Tried them through Amp3. Much better.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:I don't have any official word but remember that Ampeg SVX models will still benefit from the new speaker cabinet/room work for sure. Give them a try through AmpliTube 3 and you'll likely be happy.zvenx wrote:anyone knows if they plan to revisit SVX Ampeg since from what I read the new methodology started with fender and beyond?
thanks

Thanks for the clarification, Jind. My confusion came from the fact that (as I understand it) AmpliTube 3 essentially bundles in the Hendrix edition. However, the Hendrix demo I had on my machine would not load the Hendrix presets in A3.Jind wrote:Amplitube 3 essentially replaces X-Gear and includes the features that X-Gear performed. If you have say Fender, or SVX, the presets should be there just as they were in X-Gear - Peter mentioned this in one of the threads - I think it was the NAMM thread.MickGael wrote:Hey Folks,
Perhaps a silly question, but here goes: it seems that X-Gear comes free with all of the IK amp sims - except AmpliTube 3. Why is that? It would be nice to be able to access the presets found in the individual packages (now bundled in A3).

Any Ampeg SVX upgrade is going to need to include some Ampeg guitar amps, like the Reverbrocket and VL-503.dubbelQ wrote:I will upgrade Ampeg svx as soon as it is released. But the bassamps in Amp3 alone are worth upgrading to the Amp3.

And not to forget, a better overdrive then the one included. It really sucks. The class fuzz in Amp3 sounds great with ampeg I think.

I'd love to see that too, but is SVX the place for it? Maybe they could turn SVX into a product that's more like ATFender. I'd pay for a bunch of Ampeg models, that's for sure.redshift factor wrote:Any Ampeg SVX upgrade is going to need to include some Ampeg guitar amps, like the Reverbrocket and VL-503.dubbelQ wrote:I will upgrade Ampeg svx as soon as it is released. While we're on the topic, use the SVX B-15R with a guitar cab to get really tough little guitar tones. Try it.

So is it just me, or why does the demo for amplitube 3 still keep crashing, when I'm looping a short passage in Live?
It's exactly the same problem that kept me from buying amplitube 2.

I had the same problem with Reaper and Amplitube2. The only solution for me was not to loop short passages.kaffeekranz wrote:So is it just me, or why does the demo for amplitube 3 still keep crashing, when I'm looping a short passage in Live?

It works now flawless with A3.

That would completely change my workflow and take a lot more time, so that's not really an option for me.bugland wrote:The only solution for me was not to loop short passages.![]()

But if it works for you in A3 I'm a little confused.
