What's been changed in 1.04? I don't see a description of changes on the Drumaxx site.

I realize that this is not an emulator for acoustic percussion, but hopefully there is a way to get the bell to ring.

Anybody got any ideas?
Try their Cowbell 2, and then set the Membrane decay to be modulated by Vel.
Then set the Vel (to the left of the Mod setting) at about 3:00. Then play with tension, phase, etc. Closer?

EDIT: I'm not getting it to ring out quite as much as I want either, though the sound of the bell is right. How's it going for you? Still learning how all of the parameters interact, here.

There is no 1.04

Then why isn't the download listed as 1.0 at their website?

Can you make a screenshot? I see there everywhere 1.0 version.

There is an update "candidate" on there forum site. You have to log in to view it here though. It's for windows and mac. Drumaxx_1.0.1.2

And if you've bought the program, if you go to your profile page and click on link for downloading it, the dropdown box now says it's version 1.04. But I don't want to go through the process again and risk overwriting presets I've created, etc, if there's not much of a change.

I really like what this program can do for creating acoustic sounds. The bass drums and snares are particularly good, though some of the cymbals, by default don't seem to have been programmed at all.

I can imagine people creating hundreds of presets for this and sharing them. Does ImageLine have a site for sharing presets, or is that something we will have to create?

(This probably doesn't need saying here, but adding a very little reverb to the acoustic sets makes them still more realistic. This is a very quick take that just lets two slightly altered patterns play. Nothing fancy, here. Just for hearing the potential for creating acoustic drums. Done in Mulab, using the internal MuVerb set to Small Room with a few adjustments. I don't have the cymbals right, yet. The second pattern is better, here, with more variety:

Again, this is very basic stuff, just intended to to show the possibilities for creating acoustic sounds.

Yeah!! Finally passed AU validation in Logic!! :tu:

Post

Hello again DRUMAXX TEAM.

The AU validation process is not 100% smooth ( at least on my system- OS 10.5.8, Logic 9.1 ), but now i can load the plug in ( version 1.0.1.2 ).

The sonic possibilities are really amazing ! Well done !

But there's a problem with the multi-outputs. I couldn't make it works and Logic crashes all the time.

Please, could you clarify me about that ?

Thanks in advance.
Best !

We will add Drumpad VSTi again in the next installer hoping it makes up a little for the Logic mess.

I haven't time to read through all the responses here unfortunately, but in my short time with this synth I am really thinking $13 might be too much!?...

It has no velocity control !!!???? and patch browsing is a pain in the ass. Also, where's the Drumpad?? I'm tired of all these drum synths that are spoiled by sequencers and shite. I was hoping for a DRUM SYNTH, not a circus of weighed down fruity bells and whistles.

I tell you what, I'll pay the $13 if you give it ALL to the earthquake victims.
