This last color scheme looks GREAT!

One question (aybe i'm missing something) : Why isn't the default preset in stereo (with L and R spectrum curves displayed together) ?

You can set the default setting you need. The summary spectrum looks less cluttered.

Thank you sir!

Hey Aleksey,
Used the beta intermittently while mastering a full album this week on Snow Leopard. Probably added up to a few hours of use, and got to put it through it's paces. No stability issues, and the functionality seemed, well, fully functional. No bugs or issues. Thought you might like to hear that.

Cheers!
Mastering, like being human, involves being as objective as possible, but remaining subjective as well...and vice versa. www.transparent-mastering.com

I prefer the red one!

The grey title bar looks very easy on the eyes!
I think I would prefer grey bar over other colours in the long run (speaking for myself).

Perhaps (if you are so inclined) you could tone it slightly green-ish (to give it some "military style") but I like the one you posted.

Hi Aleksey,

I had an idea for a feature I think would be very handy.
I would like to be able to freeze a curve and save it to later load as an overlay, for comparison purposes.

I imagine this looking much like most noise reduction plugins, where you capture audio for a length of time, then it's displayed as a frozen curve.
In the case of NR plugins, that curve can be saved and later reloaded or even loaded in another instance of the plugin.

Is this something you might consider implementing? I think that would be a feature that no other spectrum analyser offers.

Dax, It's exactly the "save spectrum" function we're planning to add in the future.

Ahh, that's wonderful news Aleksey.

1) When will we see this implemented in SPAN?
2) Was it my idea first or your idea first? ;)

Looking forward to another stellar release, my friend! :)

Take care,
Dax.

I can't tell exactly when the "save spectrum" feature will be implemented. I do not know who offered this idea first - I think it was implemented in some products long ago.

As for the red/grey color scheme, I think I'll leave it red for some time - I will need more time to decide. I personally like red accent more.
