audio time stretch and pitch shift

Not particularly a Cantabile topic except that Cantabile's media player has no time stretch and pitch shift options...

By digging KVR I've found "PitchWheel" vst from "QuikQuak" that worked surprisingly clean on audio files. I also liked that I can set transposition by playing keys and even harmonize monophonic lines into cords. However it does not support time stretching. Bad is the price, about 60€... but not a single freebie created anything even close to the clean processing of PitchWheel...

I've not forgotten a hint a time ago - the free standalone "BestPractise". But that's also not comparable in audio quality - and it's no vst.

Maybe Brad should consider adding some time stretch / pitch shift tools in media players for audio - even this might mean an additional tool like jBridge and maybe some moderate cost...

Any opinions?
