Forgive me if this has already been asked, but Peter, is there a way to get this to stop defaulting to +6 on the input gain slider?! Before I set it to zero via stompio in X-Gear and it stayed put. Amplitube 3 keeps defaulting back to +6 unless I "save a project" and load it each time. Turning the slider down takes less time than that.
It's a PIA. Half the time I forget to do it when I start Amplitube 3, and wonder why my clean patches sound driven. Then of course I notice the input gain is back to +6.

We're aware that there is/was a problem when you save a session and recall it (at3h file) the value set before saving it is not restored. On the level of just remembering without saving, I'll have to check and test since we'll surely have an update coming.

Also when loading a project here, it was not remembering the stompio hooked up and turned on. I would load the project and have to re engage the stompio as a controller on the AT3 interface.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:We're aware that there is/was a problem when you save a session and recall it (at3h file) the value set before saving it is not restored. Have not had time to test more though lately.

And please fix it so also metronome type and volume are saved in the project file (bpm and time signatue are saved).Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:We're aware that there is/was a problem when you save a session and recall it (at3h file) the value set before saving it is not restored.
In addition, please filter by file extension in the project Open/Save dialogs, and list the 5 last opened projects on the File menu!

Thanks for the information. Anybody want to start listing the models they want? I know we had the chorus pedal discussion, some other amp models (Hiwatt, more Orange, Pignose, etc), more EH pedals (POG is my suggestion but there were more), but there's always room for suggestion.

Great! Privately I've received some interest in "lunchbox" amps like the Mesa Boogie Transatlantic and similar, is there interest in modeling this sort of thing? Also, lots of requests for more modern, yet boutique, items. Last but not least, things that really just don't EXIST at all and moving away from some of the exacting emulations of classic gear. Any thoughts on these?

we need a proper brutal and thick amp which handles palm muting on F# correctly and doesn't have fizz. Something in the spirit of metal amp room with more thickness to it.

And what amp would that be? It isn't something I'd be as fluent in so be as specific as possible as far as what hardware does that best now. Thanks!monsterbeetle wrote:we need a proper brutal and thick amp which handles palm muting on F# correctly and doesn't have fizz. Something in the spirit of metal amp room with more thickness to it.

Since you're asking ...
I would not turn down
the following:
- anything Matchless, notably a C-30
- a Dumble style amp, need not be an original, TwoRock, Fuchs, CarolAnn or similar will do nicely
- a really authentic SLO-100 with switchable Warren Haynes mod (hey, it's only removing a single treble bleed cap but makes a big difference)
- a Dr.Z Maz Sr
- and any low gain boutique OD, boost or stomp comp you can come up with in the quality of the Ambassador, Xotic, Fulltone, Klon, Mad Professor, Hermida, Landgraff - these things.
Boss, Ibanez and Co just don't play in that league, no way.
Re the lunchbox amps, I don't quite get their appeal itb where volume is not an issue.
They're great substitutes for the real thing in hardware, but in software, what's the point ?
Not talking about unique designs like the THD or Pignose of course.

On another note, anybody notice there are more audio demos, including a lot of bass demos now?

Great job on those bass demos, even better, you really can get these tones yourself in AT3, easily.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:On another note, anybody notice there are more audio demos, including a lot of bass demos now?http://bit.ly/atYO10
I said it before, I'll say it again:
With AT3, ATF and Ampeg I really can't see me miking a bass amp again anytime soon.
