Ultimately, you're right, but when you start a thread that makes a definitive proclamation (especially in all caps) about something so subjective you should be prepared to be challenged.

I've found the yellow Charmin brand 2-ply gives the best results.
Do you recommend buying new or used?

The GS 10 looks interesting. Shame they are out of production.
is the J Station analog ??? I always thought it'd be digital like all the other POD type devices.... ..

oh and btw be aware that if it's discontinued that there won't be (most likely) no new drivers for newer OSes...

Ummmmm who said anything about analog? :nutter:

Ummmmm you said hardware, and that implies analog of course. The J-Station is a computer running software, just like my laptop running Flying Haggis (or whatever) is a computer running software. The computer (including the ADCs and DACs, etc.) in both cases is of course hardware, so you writing you were a 'hardware snob', because you use a J-Station instead of an amp-sim plugin, doesn't really make any sense.

So obviously you are the :nutter: here.

oh, and just for the record:

I also own a J-Station and think it sounds absolutely fantastic.

If anyone does want to buy a gently used (used maybe 5 times, still has it's original box, which is in great shape, manuals, etc.) GS-10 for $150 + shipping, let me know! I can take some pictures of it tonight. It really does sound pretty good, I just haven't been playing as much guitar as I thought I would.

that's a great price... they sold for $500 when they still had em in stock. Amazing good time for $150 and a USB interface too.

Yeah, I'd like to hold onto it, and pass it on to my kids someday, but there's some other stuff I want more :D

For that warm vintage sound you should wet the toilet paper first then let it dry out in the sun.
