Hey, Steplton, Hangglide, no offence fellas! I didn't want to influence the votes, sorry if I did
(I'm biting the dust anyway
) I just have a bias towards those who register just for voting. There was a compo once where the guy who placed 1st had all of his big turkish family voting for him, which is not quite healthy.
Владимир, переделка этой довольно занудной на мой взгляд классики - просто замечательная! Даже если убрать основную тему, получится и без того хороший трек. (Это ни в коем случае не призыв к действию

Here are them votes:
Wide Open - orbik 6
I'm a sucker for all things funky. Here everything rawks, from the bassline to the wah-wah.
Back To The Groove - K-Bee 5
synth one thingamabob - ah_dziz 4
LIGHTHOUSE_ISLAND - Mac_of_BIOnighT 3
WOUld bE sTUPid not to vote for this
3 tracks in one, got some cosmic feel about them.
Many as One - Xenobioz 3
I don't like eastern melodies, but this one is too good to miss.
R2L4 - Kaiyoti 3
Can't stop thinking of some heroic character like The Frog from Chrono Trigger.
The crimson - guitarbro 1
For reminding me of good ol' days of ancient game consoles
Sunny Ode - dwsel 1
See the previous one
There were some more tracks worthy of votes, but I'm not in a mood for epic/apocalyptic music at the moment, except for Kaiyoti's one, which got +3 for ringing some other bells inside my brain.

Wow, thanks
And this "WOUld bE sTUPid" - if it refers to the use of capital letters in our name - is pretty funny
There used to be a list made by a guy with the most irritating names of musicians, and BIOnighT was on the list, which I always found amusing
Of course, ['ramp] was there, too...

Aww, shyte! Forgot to include some peoples in my votes! But what is done, is done.
But only capitalization, not the word "stupid"

My pleasure! Never thought that I'll vote for a piece that longMac of BIOnighT wrote:Wow, thanks

They're all bands, a lot may be unknown to most people as they are in the electronic (not in the modern sense of the word) music field.

Yeah, after all we BIOnighT came out not looking that bad in comparison
Anyway, my votes, at long last
I must say that this time my votes are entirely based on the music itself and not on sound design. The reason for this is that - to my great surprise, I must admit - presets have been used. This, in my opinion, goes against any and every philosophy and logic behind OSC's, as the game is to see how much a musician is able to squeeze out of one synth not just in terms of music, but in terms of sounds as well. Using presets in an OSC is like running a race using someone else's legs... Now, please don't take this as criticism, it's just my view on the challenge.
Now, since I can't ask and memorize who used which presets and where, the only option to be fair (based on my point of view) was to totally ignore sound programming, which - while being unfortunately unfair to those who really got their own sounds out of the synth - is the only way to prevent myself from giving points based on sounds to somebody who used other people's sounds instead.
Again, I do not mean to offend anybody, it's just that presets are totally against the very concept underlying this challenge, from my point of view.
So, based on music only, here are my votes:
4 points: Another Soundtrack - Yeager (this guy is so good that it's not even fair to the other musicians
)
3 points: R2L4 - Kaiyoti (louder does not mean better, and I so wish this track hadn't fallen into the loudness war trap/crap, as it is one of the best tracks I've heard in a long time, a beautiful melody that sticks to your ears and heart like glue, it would make a truly great signature theme - wow!)
3 points: Hyacinth1 - tattiemannie (OK, I love this guy's music!)
3 points: Dreaming At dusk_AbstractCats (ditto)
3 points: TheLastSynthOnEarth - Totolitoto (what an awesome space track!)
3 points: Nucleus-1 - cosmo1 (beautiful space track, too, with an irresistible 70's vibe - great!)
2 points: Impromptu2--mrblitz000 (fun
)
2 points: 13_Moons_and_a_Sun_too-MA-Simon (yet another fantastic spacey track, this time the general feel goes back to the 50's or early 60's - nice!)
2 points: Karma Sutra - V'ger (awesome production, would make a great soundtrack for an Indiana Jones movie with a serious tone - impressive)
1 point: Final Frontier - MajorBloodnok (I'm a trekker, how could I leave this out?
)
However, there wasn't a single bad track, each had its own merits and personality, so congratulations to everybody!!!

Hey thanks for the vote!
IMvHO, that was always going to be the issue with a Synth1 OSC - so many presets, so little time....
cheers
