i've got a somewhat different request.

what would be great is a rack eq that isnt bound by the 'looks and works like a physical box'. I think sticking to that idea is really limiting in terms of usability. Every time I open the 'graphic eq' I cry a little inside.

It would be nice to have a graphic eq like this :

Doesnt have to be that complicated but having high-pass and low-pass along with eq nodes where you can move them around by dragging on the graph.

If you can combine that with an fx chain for each mic then i'll be set. :)

I'd agree that a good high/low pass would be great. It would have to be capable of steep cuts (48db) though.

Metal Amp Room is based on an Engl Powerball amp, but we added a crunch channel which is based on a JCM800. It contains two different 4×12 cabinets with two mics each (an SM57 and AKG C414) which can be used in parallel. We only bothered with the two hi gain channels, but instead of simulating the crunch channel from the Engl, we inserted the same preamp as in the JCM800, but kept the EQ, power amp and other circuits from the Engl. So it's not a classic JCM800, more of a hybrid. The reason for this is that we wanted to get two different types of distortion in the two channels. And we like the kind of distortion the JCM800 has.
But that doesn't mean that it sounds like a JCM800, it's more an Engl with a JCM type of distortion. And yeah, we boosted the input gain of the JCM so that you can get far more distortion from this hybrid than the JCM in Vintage Amp Room.

They also mention a fast gate tuned specially for palm muting.

From using the demo I can say that indeed it is less fizzy than most of the ATMetal amps.

I added that one to the list (yes, there's a list) of requests personally already :) Child of the '80s here. That, a JCM800 and my old JC120 and I was all happy! Funny, I felt those three things gave me flexibility and limitless options and now look how far we've come.

So, though I'm a guy who started playing in the mid-60's, I'd love to have models of the Mesa Lone Star and Mesa Stiletto. I find myself coming back to Andy Timmons' You Tube-videos time and again, where he shows his gear and he has such a great tone there. Maybe throw in a model of Fulltone's OCD and a Dallas Arbiter Rangemaster Treble-booster for good measure..... 8)

Yes, an Echoplex, Roland Space Echo, or a WEM/Watkins copicat. I really think any self-respecting piece of Guitar modeling software needs a tape echo. Being new to amplitube, I couldn't believe there was not tape based echo some where in there.

Amps - well the WEM/watkins dominator is a great suggestion. A bit of a cult amp that NO ONE has modeled yet. Why not be the first?

Something from Vox other than an AC30/15 would be nice . . . and original. They had some great sounding amps like the(Thomas Organ co.)Vox Cambridge Tube amp or the very infamous Vox 7120 amps which were used on Sgt. Pepper, or the vintage Vox Supreme/Defiant amps which were really unique sounding and had their own built in retro style fuzz circuit.

Anyway . . .

Actually, the one in Fender is a model of a digital tape-style echo from a Fender amp's digital effects section.

Yeah, pointing out it's a digital model of a digital model may be splitting hairs.
But the greater point I'm making is that it isn't painstakenly modeled on a real tape echo unit the way IK would do it if they were doing the original model, and the algorithm design was totally in the hands of Fender's DSP programmers, not IK's.
Not to take anything away from the great engineers at Fender, or IK's awesome modeling of their products, but I would still much rather have an authentic model of an actual Maestro Echoplex unit in AmpliTube 3.

-I'd like to see IK's version of a Bogner Uberschall or Ecstasy with all the tonal toggle switches and gain staging switch options. The Fish preamp would also be nice (I love that Jerry Cantrell/Alice In Chains tone)

-A Badcat or Matchless type amp

-A dedicated treble boost/Rangemaster pedal

-Mutron III Envelope Follower/Filter!!!

-A Hughes and Kettner Rotosphere pedal. There is a certain nice shimmering chorus sound you get with that pedal going before the amp that a lot of guitarists use when they don't have a real leslie on hand. The new Leslie cabs are still top notch though, but thats after the amp. Add that to the list of chorus pedal additions.

-Boss Super Chorus pedal. It was discussed before about it not being that special, but a lot of people use them and I have come to know and like the sound it gets.

-A Dunlop Crybaby wah with the switchable sweep voicing selector knob.

-An approximation of the talk box effect, or like a controllable vowel filter. I know the physical science behind this effect makes it very difficult to emulate authentically and properly, but a close approximation would be more than excellent.

-Some sort of ring mod pedal, even though the Reso effect can achieve similiar sounds.

-A Laney or Diamond amp.

-Maybe a Boss REV3 type digital reverb pedal

-A David Eden bass amp and a few of their cabs, including a 2x12 cab.

-An Ashdown bass amp. If they are good enough for Paul McCartney to use, then it must be worth it to model. They get a nice vintage rounded sound, a lot different/polar opposite of the Ampeg type modern rock sound.

+1 on the Soldano SLO 100 (w/ the Warren Haynes low gain bass mod) or even the Hotrod 50+.

+1 on the Electro Harmonix POG, or any other EH Pedal you can get modeled, like the Voice Box.

+1 Hiwatt amp

+1 on a lower gain overdrive/boost pedal, like the Fulltone OCD

+1 on a more visual graphical EQ section, at least with dedicated low and high pass filters, to really complete that all-in-one full inside-the-plugin guitar tone sound. Ability to have an EQ control in at least the cabs section, even better would be on idividual mics too.

And finally, how about a dedicated tab/section for an FX Loop which takes place after the preamp gain/EQ sections but before the power amp and speakers, with ability to make it parallel or series and a mix knob. You know, just like on a real amp.
