Gorillaz - 'Plastic Beach'

Brilliant pop production meets hip-hop, orchestral arrangements and a little bit of soul.
imo, it's better than the similarly excellent repeat-player 'Demon Days', as it has more diversity and it's also clear to see how Albarn's Monkey project has brought extra potency to this new record.

And no, I haven't got a clue what it's all about or how serious the lyrics are, but it's got me tapping my feet in the right places. Damn!

hehe, I'm still unsure about this one. I love Demon Days but seem to recall it took a few listens for that to grow on me, I have a feeling that Plastic Beach will too..

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
