Gorillaz - 'Plastic Beach'
Brilliant pop production meets hip-hop, orchestral arrangements and a little bit of soul.
imo, it's better than the similarly excellent repeat-player 'Demon Days', as it has more diversity and it's also clear to see how Albarn's Monkey project has brought extra potency to this new record.
And no, I haven't got a clue what it's all about or how serious the lyrics are, but it's got me tapping my feet in the right places. Damn!

hehe, I'm still unsure about this one. I love Demon Days but seem to recall it took a few listens for that to grow on me, I have a feeling that Plastic Beach will too..Doug1978 wrote:Gorillaz - 'Plastic Beach'

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
