I'm looking into pricing and talking with wife about budget, but they are sounding pretty darn good. :) :)
No problem man, I had to clear it with the wife also..if you would like, I could send you some mp3s of the kit, ya know, I can play the snare at different velocities and so on...

I really need a better go-to piano that is in a Beatle vein (and more detailed than my regular SampleTank pianos). Any chance those new keyboards you did with Ken Scott are among the libraries soon to be released?
Well, yes but not the NEXT ones but the next NEXT ones. The ones Ken helped me with are a Steinway Grand through a Trident A Range board and an Imperial Grand through a R.E.D.D. EMI desk as well as a Beckstein Upright through the R.E.D.D. as well. Plus a tack upright through the Trident. Those are all coming for the Infinite Player at some point this year but I am not sure when just yet. What I was referring to is stuff that is actually already back from NI encrypted and we're just applying new scripts to them. I will give you at least a hint. These new scripts will be applied to the existing "Kapsules" (and a free patch update to anyone who owns those Infinite Kapsules... gotta love that policy) so the new ones will cover other sonic areas like the ones I described.

Hey Squids. Any chance that, since the GB has reached its lowest value, we will be able to download the kits before the GB ends? I can't speak for the rest of the forum users, but I'm itching to get my hands on them. Oh yeah, just in case anybody needs to give an ePointz reference out, feel free to hook me up (username: ghidora). :D

Hiya ghidora, thanks for the epointz btw.. I gave your name when I joined too.

Does your offer still stand for a free update for those of us with the Sonik Kapsules? Been waiting to contact Allen when he was less busy, but these damn GBs keep happening :)

Is there a summary somewhere of the differences between the imap/gm/vdrums kits? I got the impression at one time it was more than just the midi mapping. Is the CC4 support only going to be in the vdrums patches?

Squids, I'd like to make sure I have the latest library installer. Do I reinstall Infinte Player from my downloads area to do that? I don't see a "library installer" listed in my available downloads.

FYI, I believe the latest Infinite Library Installer is version 1.1, and has a creation date of 9/9/9.

Yep! That's the goal. I'm just fine tuning them myself first. I'm the pickiest in the company. ;) So, it's just better if I do that last major finger drumming test and then the V-Drum test at the studio. It's tedious (although secretly just loads of fun playing all day shhh) but worth it because these scripts are REALLY powerful! I absolutely love them.

By the way, I am getting all of my developer's work at the same time checking out each of the kits in their status and I am REALLY proud of what we have. All of it is sounding so darn good! The Multitrack Drum Masters 2 kits are just LOADS of fun! You guys are rreeeeeeallllly going to like these bonuses and I hope you get at least past 400 so you can have one more! They're a lot of fun.

But, I played the final version of Neil Peart Drums today in Infinite Player and... this could be the best sounding kit I've ever heard in a sampler. That's a preference thing and subjective but it is just unbelievable and something every single person on the planet that plays an instrument should own... okay that may be going too far but let's say almost everybody. Okay that's still silly but you get my point. It's a kit to enjoy and quite versatile for a lot of things (not just RUSH-style rock). It's got the fidelity of an Ocean Way-style collection (actually we rented all Ocean Way mics and gear for the front end) with the character oriented Drum Masters thing mixed with the latest use of the maximum velocity and alts - all with V-Drum and iMap to its BEST. But before you get TOO excited, just one kit of this costs more than this entire Group Buy... however, it's worth having too. No doubt. There will be a lighter version perhaps later for less if you need.

Now, I also played EpiK DrumS Ken Scott Collection all day as well tweaking it and... this collection is un-freakin-believable! So diverse and so RETRO! Cobham's kit was just wicked. Woody's Bowie-style kit as well as the Elton John-style kit were just ADDICTING to play and the Ringo-style kit with Tea Towels is delightfully on the money (Ken did afterall record much of Magical Mystery Tour and The White Album - two of my faves). Terry's kit is unusual but a lot of fun and Bob's Supertramp kit is just cool as ----! After 2 years solid of hard work I can't believe it is finally done. Well, the last final stage is and then it will be released within the next week or two maximum.

Because we're releasing EpiK DrumS - A Ken Scott Collection in Infinite Player/Kontakt we're going to release Neil Peart Drums in BFD first I think. Then the Infinite Player version will follow shortly after... we MAY consider doing a pre-release Peart in Infinite Player for one week only and then wait so if you're lucky to catch that when it happens you might have something before anyone else... and it's goooooooooooooood! Man, is it good... I'm happy because I really use this stuff for my music and I have insane power at my finger tips with this stuff. I am sure many of you feel the same way.

Anyway, that's why I haven't been around. Been playing and playing, tweaking and tweaking. You know when you reach a point where you don't want to stop playing - that's when it is good! I got that Elton kit to the point where it was just so SEVENTIES and playing a FUNK groove on it was the baddest thing... REALLY sounding like you sampled a record or something. I'm psyched. Some of you are literally going to freak out when you get it.

CC4 support is only in the V-Drum. We'll have a lot of details about the differences soon.

Sounds very cool. If you happened to post a demo snippet in this thread, our ears would be all yours.

But then you'd have a lot of spare ears. :ud:
