He mentioned free with the other plug, but not with that one. So maybe he paid the upgrade?

I don't know. Obviously, only Crysonic knows who gets what, but that's how I understood it.

As a former customer who bought Spectralive in the early days, it was pretty nice to get the newest version from Crysonic for free. I never had a problem with them or the plug-in. Thanks Crysonic!

Yeah, not sure...he said he got the free plugin and the upgrade in the same breath, so...I wrote them, I'm sure I'll know soon.

Just curious...
Why does that matter if they are former or current customers?

Hey, Duffy -- Pricing has always been extremely variable for Crysonic. If you're interested in nXtasy, it's part of the AudioMidi $20 No-Brainer deal.

...Which has just added an extra third plug, for whatever reason...

Incidentally, I got in on one of their promos at the very beginning, three or so years ago, which qualified me as a former customer. I sent off last week for the free 'apology' plug, and got the download info and serial number in about 12 hours. Part of the email they sent requested that I mention it here, and that seems like a reasonable request to me. At this point, they seem to be working to do the deal that they said they would.

I emailed Crysonic a few hours ago to make sure Sindo 3.5 would be included as a free plugin to tha audiomidi no-brainer deal, but then after reading a few more pages later in this thread (I didn't plan on it due to all the bitching) I told them that I went through with the no-brainer order. An hour later they sent me the full sindo plug with info to get it activated to full.

I'm impressed because they did this before I have to wait past the weekend for audiomidi to handle my no-brainer purchase.

It seems like, after reading some posts in here, that some simply write them go get a freebie, even though they weren't former customers.

I'm only pointing that out. As "apology", I'd have personally given only those a freebie, who were "old" customers, not "new ones" as part of the No Brainer deal or other promotional stuff.

Haven't there been a number of posts from old customers who've been justified?
I'm talking about proactive ones.

I don't see the problem. Even if you DID do it that way, where do you draw the line? Somebody is always going to be unhappy with whatever cutoff "date" you choose. And a customer is a customer. If you think people are just randomly writing for free plugs, then I guess that's your right to think. Just seems like Crysonic would know who their customers were. Why wouldn't they?

I just don't get why it's a problem. I see a thread full of happy people. That's good enough for me. But I have a feeling that no matter what Crysonic would have done, you wouldn't have been happy with it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think it would have been let go by now. How you can spend so much energy, time, and stress on something so far in the past, I guess I'll never know. Does it really bother you THAT much that Crysonic is doing something GOOD?

Yes, they do.
I received my free nXtasy V3 today.

Wow - it's 6:30am on a Saturday in Canada and I just requested a free upgrade to Spectralive NXT 3.5 (I had licensed an older version). I was surprised and excited to see an email arrive from them literally within a few minutes. On a Saturday! Bravo, Crysonic! Much appreciated ...

It's not bother, it's disbelief. And giving out "freebies" isn't necessarily "doing good". But again, my 0,02c.
