Soniccouture RMI Rocksichord for Kontakt (free)2010-03-23T13:40:10+00:00Soniccouture has released a lovely freebie: RMI Rocksichord
Demos sound lovely to mecorehttps://www.kvraudio.com/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=79946
SonicCouture doesn't seem to get a lot of mentions here at KVR, but I think they make some really nice libraries and this is an excellent freebie. It's very generous of them to give this away free.
Thanks, SonicCouture.

I love SonicCouture libraries. Their products are ALWAYS very well done and highly playable. The samples are always clean and in tune so there are no worries about usability with other instruments and their scripting in Kontakt is second to none.
Thank you for the RMI set, the demos do sound great!
And I especially love the "Carpet Crawlers" sound.
The demos sounded great with plenty of potential for some unusual sounds in there with a bit of tweaking. Very generous indeed to give this away free - thanks to Mikael Jorgensen for starting the project off and to Sonicouture for finishing it.
I think that this is wonderful that Soniccouture has made this RMI available for FREE... thanks very much for your generosity.
However, even though it sounds similar to the RMI electrapiano (which was used by Tony Banks from GENESIS), this instrument isn't quite the same as the RMI electrapiano. I listened to the demos and they sound quite good but if you are looking for that same GENESIS sound, wait for an RMI electrapiano 368 to become available in a sample set. In the meantime, use this free one as it gets close.
Our friend at hollowsun also offers a free RMI and this one is the electrapiano.... don't know if it is any good but I know the guy who owns this company is a real historian (sorry I don't remember your name) and I suspect that this might be closer to that GENESIS sound if you are interested.
You will see the RMI listed as FREE on this page. This is the company that did the great job sampling the novachord (a unbelievable HAMMOND synthesizer from the 1930s).
I think Squids sampled Tony Banks RMI at The Farm and he keeps promising to release all those wonderful instruments he sampled on his trip across the pond but he seems to be in DRUMLAND the last year or so... maybe he will tire of the drums and release these instruments soon.
So, with all these FREEBIES flying around, I guess I might release my homegrown RMI samples soon for everybody... (I do have an RMI ELECTRA PIANO 368) as well.
