I could argue that the ruination came with the gay-lick!Now you went and ruined it..
... but to stay with that strange culture .. I nearly posted Altan's 'Brid og ni maille' as an example of a beatiful gaelic song ( search it ) ... but yet, the Scots/english version ( Briget o' malley ) by the superb Andy M. Stewart of Silly Wizard fame is way better. I've had so many good and bad moments with gaelic song I dont know whether to gush on or stop right here! ... but it's cool folks are interested! .... so go check out more Runrig! ... not only a cool band, but a brilliant bunch of guys! Their sadly departed ex-manager was a friend and neighbour of mine who died about 3 years ago .. the epitomy of a strong woman! .... took no shit, but could dish it out if the piss was percieved to be taken
Anyway, my wee boy had got into Runrig and was learning some Gaelic ... and at Marlene's ( that's her name ) funeral, they found out about my boy's interest in the band, and every one of them came and chatted to him and made him feel very special on an otherwise sad day.... and not just a hello, they actualy squatted and got down to his level and spoke to him properly, and gave him a lot of attention .. brilliant!
For more good gaelic, you might want to check (irish ) ... the bothy band, Altan, and for some Scots, Mouth Music, Talitha Mckenzie, Ossian, ... and for some Scots gaelic punk, ... my old mates Oi Polloi! .... note ... there is no good gaelic scots music pre 1975!
.... Now, back on topic ... I've finished/finnished '3KYOO' .. the participants prize! .... its a whole load of what you have already, but in one package!
Anyway, its late, so I'm not about to upload and post links now, but I will as soon as poss ... and hope you love it as much as I do
