@Martin

sorry to post here but compare the sounds to this comp :D
Rob
Indeed really nice. :) I just checked the online shop of my local dealer and he has a Blofeld desktop in stock so i could immediatly take one away. On the other hand i'll stay with my Virus TI and Largo (with that new sounbank from a famous UK sound designer.:) ) for the moment...

i bounced the mp3's at the wrong rate on one of the demos hence the background noise :( anyway i still think martin's comp answer is the Blofeld.

Rob how much suprised you would be, if its NOT a blofeld? :wheee:

@Martin: I'm currently playing around with the Cable bundle for ACE. Incredible how fat that synth could sound. Even better with some FX like my favourite Stillwell Bombardier, The Rocket and Vibq-EQ. With Vibe-EQ ACE sounds also perfect in high frequencies which is nice for plucked sounds.

I'll try when i finished to test all patches.

BTW at the moment i'm "stuck" with the patch "SY PhaserLover" (layered with "PD Shiver") which is just awesome with a little additional EQ.

Besides this i'm still working on patches for LittleOne:

BTW

Been listening to Massive...and err sorry but it sounds weak compared to the Blofeld hardware synth..
Rob :)

Maybe you didnt listen to the good patches Rob 8) , but tbh both are honorable units. I formerly thought Massive could be a lot more subtil (or weak sorry :)) than Blofled, then I had a small session ith a friend and its however a good synth.

Btw selling wiwes might be a better business than soundbanks who knows ? :)

(A bit less honorable though  )

20:00 - time to resolve this challange!

The synth was:

Waldorf Blofeld - the white devil

THE FINAL RESULT OF THE SECOND ROUND:

(the last changed vote counted)

Resonator63 - NI Massive
Roman Wisnack - NI Massive
Gustavokch - CamelAudio Alchemy
Debby - RP Predator
Paulo_apo - Cakewalk Rapture
Marc Hine - U-He Zebra 2.5

Rob_Lee - Waldorf Blofeld
TehLord - NI Massive
Ingonator - NI Massive

So only 2 guys really heared the synth out. Bulent knows some weeks before the topic starts which synth will be in there, so his vote is defintiv not counted. :D

1st place - Surfingo

"NFR for KV331 Synthmaster2"

2nd place - Rob Lee
"1 free CFA-Sound soundset of your choice"
he renounces the prize and can now choice how get this prize instead of him

3rd place - no one
"50% voucher for a CFA-Sound soundset of your choice"

2 rounds...
over 160 posts...
over 50 vote-changes...

And only 2 guess it right - was it to difficult(based on the sounddesign)?

Surfingo will get later a pm from Bulent, and Rob should write me a pm who should get his prize

Cheers :D

Wow, so it was finally the Blofeld. Sad that i changed my vote from Blofeld to Massive at the end...   :)

At least Rob could keep his wife now. :D

On the other hand Martin said he would maybe do soundsets for 2 hardware synths so i'll expect a Virus TI bank soon. :wheee:

The VirusTI is in my eyes the perfect synth(in the hardware area) so he stand at the top of the gear-shopping list. But atm i don't buy him, because i would have no time for him. So perhaps in the summer i will go for the Virus...

This was meaned with the second hw-soundset. The first will be for Blofeld(+Largo)

Some days ago i see the 1.5er features of Largo(same filter-drives, blofeld wavetables) so Largo is now nearly identic like the Blofeld, there would it be logical to transfer it on the Largo :tu:

The only really important feature missing seems to be the PPG filter but patches which use this could be reprogrammed with the "normal" filter maybe like i tried in my free PPG patches for Largo.
I guess that Rob could tell you what the real differences are.

@Cyforce: The style of some of your ACE patches remind me of those i already made for LittleOne, especially the Mallet/Pluck sounds. Seems we have a similar taste in some cases. :)
