Woaa, im so happy!!!!
My luck was to change from massive to blofeld, at least i pointed to wavetable since the beginning (massive, largo, blofeld), when cyforce said about dual multimode with a famous filter emulation i said "massive" due its latest 303 style filter, then i tought also about the PPG one on blofeld which was missing on Largo afaik. yeah!

BTW slightly off topic, im in doubt between a blofeld and largo. I see the new version of Largo got some nice additions since the last try. I have a quite fast computer (and the bonuce in place button) the "thumbs up" for largo are the total integration with the sequencer im using (afaik blofeld hasn't any, yet), the subOSC section which i find really useful, the EQ and layering features, the same wavetables as blofeld etc.
Suggestions?

Sorry i can only tell you the basics due to my NDA as a Waldorf beta tester/sound programmer but i'll list some differences after i ate my EXTRA LARGE DONNER KEBAB :D

At least Rob could keep his wife now. :D

On the other hand Martin said he would maybe do soundsets for 2 hardware synths so i'll expect a Virus TI bank soon. :wheee:
The VirusTI is in my eyes the perfect synth(in the hardware area) so he stand at the top of the gear-shopping list. But atm i don't buy him, because i would have no time for him. So perhaps in the summer i will go for the Virus...

This was meaned with the second hw-soundset. The first will be for Blofeld(+Largo)
One moment. You release the same soundset for Largo ?!
Some days ago i see the 1.5er features of Largo(same filter-drives, blofeld wavetables) so Largo is now nearly identic like the Blofeld, there would it be logical to transfer it on the Largo :tu:

cool, but If they are equal in everything (except largo having more stuff and the PPG lackness) means that someone not interested in live performing will obviously choose Largo over blofeld, no?

For those who think that the Virus TI was missing something:

Largo v Blofeld: Some feature differences

Largo - Largo has as much polyphony as your cpu allows
Blofeld - Blofeld has 25 note polyphony
Largo - Largo has 2 Sub Oscillators *really hndyfeature*
Blofeld - No Sub Oscillators present
Largo - Largo has Reverb and Delay available on both FX1 & FX2 *Love this*
Blofeld - Blofeld has the Triple FX feature but Reverb and Delay only on FX2
Largo - Largo has 4 band EQ *great for polishing up the sound/preset
Blofeld - Blofeld has more Drive curves than Largo and the PPG Filter *Best*
Largo - Cpu hungry and Graphics bugs for some users *being worked on*
Blofeld - Buggy OS..*i have a different OS beta* so i don't have all bugs :)
Largo - Sounds as good as the hardware IMO
Blofeld - Keyboard has 60mb sample memory as standard *optional on desktop*
Largo - Cannot use samples :(

There are other feature difference's but these are the IMO the most important ones.

On Sound Programming:

Both of these synths are a Breeze to program and the Waldorf filters are the best on any synth hard or soft period.
Some presets can also be replicated in Largo and Blofeld or vice versa on the following conditions:

For instance if you program a preset in Largo your preset will not sound the same in Blofeld if:

1 - You have used Reverb and Delay on both FX1 and FX2
2 - You have used the Sub Oscillators in you preset
3 - You have used the 4 band EQ

The end sound will also depend on what Drive Curve etc you used aswell..If you just used Hard/Soft etc as your Drive then you'll be ok but Blofeld has more options in this department.

TIP:

On Blofeld in Unisono mode..To spread the detuned sound then just go to the mod matrix and assign UnisonoV to filter pan 1 or whatever you like for that wide sound.
Largo has the spread function already so no need to do this is the mod matrix.

PS

Largo does great Electronic drum sounds...

Hope this helps.

Rob :)

I had not thought about it.. :) I think that someone who has made a post in this thread should get it Martin :) The user should also own a synth that you have made soundsets for..so the first person to post here and wants a CFA soundset gets the prize.

i think, based on his "guess-engagement" ingonator would be one of the favorites, also his signatures shows, he have many synth for them soundsets are out, or coming out the next time...(d-cam synthsquad, largo, alchemy, virus)
