Thanks, scuzzo! What specific wah would you like to see?

Definitely have requests for noise gates (specific pedals, even one that can "learn" the noise) that people have made.

I think the 4 wahs in AmpliTube 3 (plus 3 more in Ampeg and Fender) are as sophisticated as any software emulation has ever been. The original AmpliTube 2 Wah is 99% of the way to a standard Dunlop Crybaby GCB-95, even if IK doesn't specify that's what it's modeled on.

Additional wahs I'd personally like to see would be a red Fasel Crybaby, and a Morley - perhaps a Bad Horsie or Mark Tremonti. Of course you also can't go wrong with the Classic.

I'd like to see a Dunlop style wah with the selectable set filter voicing knob to control either the heel down or top/toe down frequency, to have it either start or end more dark or bright.

Like Jerry Cantrell's signature Dunlop JC95 wah pedal,

Listen to that demo clip on there. I guess the Morley has a similiar kind of creamy dark low mid sweep character too it as well, just like this particular Dunlop model.

I know many guitarists have used wah in the history of rock, but whenever I think Wah wah, I get this particular wah tone in my head. It has more of a deep growl to it, than a screechy treble vocal sound.

with the update, do we delete previous version or just install update over the top?

Install it over the top, that's what I did and it works perfectly.

hey pete,
really cool of you to open a dialog with the endusers and stuff..
i guess what i kinda would like to see is a T-wha.. the Wha in auto mode will not really allow for shaping the tone as much as a Touch Wha... sadly i dont have a steath pedal or some such for true Wha kinda things..

on the BIG plus side the cab emulations are so spot on and the new amp sims..
very saggy and spongy and tubish.. i bet purest will be gobbsmacked.. to see a rooms full of Jurassic Amps all dusty and unused.. now some 500 or so megs of code can do 94% of all that heavy real world equipment.. and you can switch from a fender twin to a orange in a mouse click.. try doing that in the real world... jmho

good job IK!

Thanks for the suggestion. I just spent a week at US Headquarters with lots of good stuff going on. Some pictures are available on our Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/IK-Multim ... 7617160146 (with a little tease in there in the comments).

Just install the update and all's good. :)

I have downloaded the 3.x update installer 3 times on three different machines and I am getting errors from the installer each time. Any hints on how to get past this?

EDIT

I did t fourth attempt, saved it into the C drive instead of desktop and install went perfectly, I am not sure if this was coincidence in that the other 3 attempts were all corrupt but it worked and I am happy.

I would like to see an option added to have Amplitube 3 open your last saved project when starting. This would help in keeping the input slider where I put it. ;)

you mean about 3 new product announcements coming up in April?

at least for my purposes... only thing i would add is
the ability to record guitar over a loop..
and a high quality noise gate in pedal form for the board..
perhaps a more sophisticated wah emulation..

but as it stands its 91 out of 100..

good stuff...
If this doesn't tickle your looper fancy, I'm not sure what would.

It would have to be a new modulation matrix module, which I think would have to wait until a major update if it was to be introduced.
Call it Tweakmonkey and model it after a retrained organ grinder monkey that now can stand by your gear and use one of it's many prehensile limbs (don't forget the tail!) to tweak your knobs to the beat.
