A lot of great drums. I am really happy with the differences in what you can do with the STm kits vs. the MT kits. I think they are both really great to have and I find myself using different versions depending on the situation... especially with regard to processing. Sometimes I prefer just processing the WHOLE kit piece and for that the STm kits are just convenient! Other times I want to do it like I would in a multitrack drum session and then the MT kits are brilliant for that... and they are also so versatile for different sounds from the blending alone. So all in all it was a lot of work but I think a major improvement in this next version 2 is going to be something that DM1 users will appreciate as well as new users. Here it comes!!!!

Anxiously waiting for this to happen finally.

And I'm anxiously awaiting that upgrade pricing...

Is it really so difficult to make a final decision on this?

I see. You mean people deciding which way to go, this current GB or just the upgrade to DM2 Multitrack. Okay first thing Monday or maybe even tomorrow if I can sit down with it and look at what we've got planned for that. We actually have a whole upgrade system being worked on that does it more elegantly in the back end of esoundz. But that's not going to be ready for a little while. It will be a LOT easier when you can just see which upgrades you qualify for without having to think about it. We're getting there. You're going to see a LOT of improvements on our web sites over the coming weeks.

Upgrade pricing will be as follows:

Drum Masters 1 users of all kits will get a free patch update with Drum Masters 2 scripts for each of the kits they own whether they bought them a la carte or in a group buy or in the Silver, Gold or Platinum packages. This is almost completed but will take about a week to populate everyone's user areas for the simple patches that you will be able to drag and drop onto your Infinite Library Installer and enjoy... and we thank you for your patience. A LOT of development has gone into this FREE update!

There is NEW sample content in Drum Masters 2 Multitrack and Drum Masters 2 Platinum. To get the new samples of style kits, extra snares and any extra artist kits (such as the Jerry Marotta Taos kit in the Platinum) here are the upgrade prices:

[Limited time offers - end April 30th, 2010]

Upgrade from ANY Drum Masters 1 product (a la carte kits, Silver or other) to Drum Masters 2 Multitrack for $149. [MSRP of DM2 Multitrack is $299]
to Drum Masters 2 Platinum for $599. ($200 more if you want the HD - 500 GB Hard Drive pre-loaded)

Upgrade from Drum Masters 1 Gold to Drum Masters 2 Multitrack - $99.
Upgrade from Drum Masters 1 Gold to Drum Masters 2 Platinum - $499. ($200 more if you want the 500 GB HD)

Upgrade from Drum Masters 1 Platinum to Drum Masters 2 Platinum $199. ($200 more if you want the 500 GB HD).

------

Also a special offer for anyone who gets either the above upgrades OR joins this current "Sequel" Group Buy:

Special Edition Artist Paks (On DVD) for the EpiK Drummers (each kit is about 20 gigabytes):

Rod Morgenstein Multitrack Kit $149.
Bill Cobham Multitrack Kit $149.
Woody Woodmansey Multitrack kit $149.
Bob Siebenberg Multitrack kit $149.
Terry Bozzio Multitrack Kit $149.

Good news is... all of the above will be shipping this week and next week (backed up only because there are hundreds of Group Buy orders to send out potentially and also we're in the final stages now of all of it... but it is gigabytes and gigabytes of DRUMS!!!!!).

Neil Peart Drums is also $149 for "The Kit"

Thanks for the info.

Is there a chart somewhere explaining the delta between DM 1 Gold and DM 2 Multitrack?

(Upgrade from Drum Masters 1 Gold to Drum Masters 2 Multitrack - $99)

Thanks

Yeah, I'd like to see that too (or have it listed in a post).

Specifically, I want to know which MT kits (or kit pieces) constitute the extra sample content, in order to compare it to the STm kits offered in the current Group Buy.

Basically, I'm assuming that the $99 for the Group Buy will get me all the extra content in the form of STm kits, whereas a $99 to upgrade DM1 Gold will result in the same material in MT format. Is that about right?

I'm definitely on board for buying the Woody Woodmansey MT kit too!
