Hello.

I've been noodling with the demo a bit and purchased today - amazing software.

Tomorrow's my first digital gig. I'm excited as this is the first time playing w a laptop.
I'll be using Pianoteq, Gsi's VB3 and MrRay. Hope I'll manage to set up the same controllers for diff parameters in each subsession. Otherwise I'll just be using reg. sessions (load times are short)

Wish me luck

...good luck - and brave to use something you just know for a couple of days... :D

LOL - thank you very much sir. I'll be bringing my trusty ol' digi-piano too - just in case.

It went tremendously well. I didn't have the time to setup/assign everything so couldn't avoid a few mouseclicks. Pianoteq's programmed in a way that doesnt reveal its program names to Cantabile - but nothing more than an annoyance. Rock solid performance (and wonderful sound). Love Cantabile already!

I need a better keyboard though (have a cme uf80). One with a GOOD keybed and graded hammer action. Any recommendations?

In general Fatar / Studiologic Controllers are quite popular and have good reputation. If you only want a good keybed without much fancy controllers fuzz there are quite well priced versions.

Also I am not very familiar with hammer action keyboards myself I fancy with the Fatar Studiologic Numa nano which is really lightweighted while providing fully graded action in a very compact design.

For synth action I like Rolands PCR series. The keys feel quite soft but the dynamic response is comparably good and there is well reacting aftertouch too. Operation is quite simple unless you start to mess around with all the additional controllers... ;)
