yellowfever wrote:@roblee - you got any plans for any synths you haven't done banks for yet? I'd still give you 8p / patch btw :P
Im on preset 79 of my second Blofeld bank rght now :) Then i'll finnish the second Largo bank aswell as programming the new PPG 3.V

I had 64 presets done for Zebra the other day but i just couldn't be arsed to assign the XY Pads or else i would have released that..i think i'll keep the Zebra ones for a rainy day.

What synths do you suggest Marc?

I don't have many BTW..

.15 cents per patch or something. They'd have a preview button etc etc. Seemed like a good idea for the consumer, only buy what you like but it would probably be a nightmare from an operations standpoint.
Great idea but then you'd need an audio riff of every preset your selling.
Audio demos IMO as i always say will make or break abank of sounds but i may do something like this on our site soon.

Best do it if there's a bunch of you contributing though so you can build an extensive library pretty quick.

Top idea though if someone does it.

The problem is that such a shop would have :

1/ One Demo per preset ( wich is a huuuuuuuuge work)
2/ A cart/basket utility (instead of simpe buy me paypal buttons) because you cant expect people to pass thru Paypal 10 times if they biy ten patches.

But the worst is still to come :

Paypal take minimal fees for each transaction, so that you would loose money each time you sell a patch. :-o :o

In a more general sense, its not worthy to sell soundbanks, or else at a lass than 10$ value on the internet. If you include the delivery work, all the communication/support with users, accountancy, taxes, aso, and if you want offer, besides all that, a professional service, then you have to set some minimal prices.

All the above imho and ........ a bit ime as well :)

Rob, I would love to see what kind of dance set you could do with LinPlug Alpha, as I have not been able to stop working with your dance set for Sylenth1, it has gotten my excited to work with Sylenth1 again, a brilliant set you have designed there.

Personally I'd love a roblee bank for V Station and I think Superwavesynths P80 has MASSIVE potential to be explored.

Idea scrapped :) I don't mind doing audo demo's..that's the easy part but maybe smaller banks maybe the way to go for some.

I'll stick to the 128 per bank theory just because i hate seeing blank spaces :) however it's up to others how they do it..

Blue/Largo/Predator/Sylenth/Emu X3 plus all expansions/Waldorf Edition/
Virus Powercore multi-licence with V-Station powercore/Zebra/Ace

Never tried it either but tbh I was pulled off by the fact people said there were problems for a long time when people could still buy the synths but they werent delivered ( dont remember all the details but somethinjg like that)

Glad if they come back to life with a standard support
