Please do! For me, personally, I only need a one day limited time offer. I will snatch it up immediately.Squids wrote:The Downbeat kit...was recorded by Ken Scott who recorded The Beatles so it has a little novelty to it. You CAN get it in the full EpiK DrumS but as an a la carte download... maybe we'll do a limited time thing.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that snare and kick. The toms are awesome but strange... yet that is one of the Beatles sounds and when you play a sort of Beatlesy riff on them you hear it. Sometimes I play it and say "man, that is DEAD" and I even said so to Ken and he said "well, that's what we did sometimes". The stories he tells... I need to have Ken do a live interview with you guys. He'll answer all sorts of questions and he's really cool. He was telling me how they put the 4 head sweater into the bass drum and we had to simulate THAT when we did the Downbeat kit... pretty amazing.zedd wrote:Please do! I dare say that the snare in this Downbeat Kit is better than the Tea Towel snare in the Abbey Road '60s Drums, and that one is pretty damn good. Plus, this one probably has more articulations with the iMap configuration.
Plus, this snare drum is bang on for that 1970s Roots Reggae snare sound too!
So can we just drop these on the IP installer and it will do everything for us? We don't have to worry about where to place all the samples? Thats would be cool if we could just drop them on the ip installer!!Squids wrote:By the way, we're going to do this a little differently this time. You will download the individual samples of the kits (split up in 1 gig sized zips mostly or less - so it is easy) and then a Phase 1 Patches zip separately (kind of the like the Global Patch Updates) where it does all the Multis and Instruments at once for the STm kits you've downloaded in that phase. It will be faster and easier this way all around. So... you know what that means? It means your phase 1 kit samples are going to be in your member's download area within about an hour so you can get started with the downloads. WOOHHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! but you have to be patient with the kit patches which are a small download but coming some time this evening. I am doing a final run through now on the phase 1 kits. Sounds awesome!
