Correction of a mistake in the email that went out. It said:
MORE! Since there are over 500 people it now comes with a FREE Infinite Player and FOUR Multitrack Bonus Kits or if you already own Infinite Player you can choose THREE Multitrack Kits!
But of course it should have said:

I'd like to hear this Downbeat kit and snare. Why can't I find it anywhere? Anyone have a link?zedd wrote:Please do! For me, personally, I only need a one day limited time offer. I will snatch it up immediately.Squids wrote:The Downbeat kit...was recorded by Ken Scott who recorded The Beatles so it has a little novelty to it. You CAN get it in the full EpiK DrumS but as an a la carte download... maybe we'll do a limited time thing.![]()

I dare say that the snare in this Downbeat Kit is better than the Tea Towel snare in the Abbey Road '60s Drums, and that one is pretty damn good. Plus, this one probably has more articulations with the iMap configuration.
Plus, this snare drum is bang on for that 1970s Roots Reggae snare sound too!
Thanks much.

Okay!!!!! Phase 1 complete! The Phase 1 patches are now in your user area! You'll need to have downloaded all of the Samples zips and drag those zips onto your Infinite Library Installer. Now come the Multi and Instrument patches! 15 STm kits for phase 1. 10 more coming tomorrow night and then the Multitrack kit choices on Friday! Tight! DVDs ship out on Monday!
Oh I missed the contest winner again today but I am so tired I think I am going to catch some sleep or some semi-sleep (meaning I am going to go home and probably will have the laptop around to pop in and see how you're all doin' OR I might be crashed out... all depends!).
Enjoy the kits! Some of them are just addicting to play. Some of these are a little quirky - in a good way - but when you DON'T want the quirky kit piece just swap it out with another one. For instance, sometimes hi hat chokes are longer than others. I personally prefer them fast. But some of the people I sampled kits with did it differently and I DO like it other ways. So it is nice to have a variety actually. But if I want a tighter hat choke I just swap it out with a hat that has it... one of the benefits of having both collections USD1 and USD2. I'm telling you that IS the way to go. I really hope someone doesn't miss it because they just didn't realize the benefit of having both - ESPECIALLY having those Ocean Way Drums kits with the DM scripts. That is as rare as it gets... hard to believe that after this Friday you won't be able to purchase that fine work like that anymore. Well, you can't say I didn't warn ya!

I'm going to make some killer HYBRID kit patches that mix and match between Ultimate Studio Drums Bundle 1 and 2. So hopefully you guys have both! It will even use the convolution impulse responses from both collections as well. If that doesn't make you want to buy both then I don't know what!!!
(just trying to push a few over the fence in this extended few days).
Alright I am going home now! Whew. That was a lot of work... more to go still! Releasing EpiK DrumS this week and Drum Masters 2 next week... man, we really know how to overwork ourselves!!!! But it's all worth it. It took us years to get here but we're here and this is exciting! A whole lotta drums!

Do I need an additional prog to use the convolution impulses? Thanks.

No.They'll work in the Infinite\Kontakt player (and full Kontakt). They are used in the Convolution reverb effect available in the mixer channel.
You can also use them in any other convolution reverb too if you prefer to effect outside of Kontakt

Thanks for the added tidbits, Squidley. That makes it even more enticing indeed. I'm surprised you haven't done more advertising of the existence of this kit with EpiK DrumS. Surely Ken Scott sampling an authentic Ringo kit is something which would make this product a must-have for more people. I seriously want this kit as soon as possible.Squids wrote:Side note, Zedd. When we did the Downbeat kit (which is an actual Ringo kit that even had the Beatles head on it and everything.. you can see it in the Rod Morgenstein videos because we did it just after that), after Ken did his Tea Towel kit I did my own version after that had less towel on the toms... that isn't being released until some time later but that also came out really cool. The RingBeat kit in the GB is good too but that is an earlier Beatles type of sound with even less dampening.
And ebow too!

And speaking of ebow...
The only ring I want in my snare is Ringo!
Yeah it's tight, but it wouldn't work nearly as effectively because it has that ring in it. Good for some things though.ebow wrote:the 'big band jazz kit' is also quite a tight little thing
