Ya, I did it that way..Ill DL it again, not a problem..I da have a questrion for you guys though..when you y to load these new kits it is looking for missing files on all of them, I have to hit scan database and it works but IUt makes me do it every time, I did re-scan for new samples in the IP folder in kontakt but it still comes up with all missing samples!!

Di any of you have this happen? Thanks guys!!!
I'm seeing the same thing (on all kits)...

It's not automatically finding any of the samples in Kontakt 4. I have to point it to the files in the Samples folder and then it loads the kits. Its also not finding the 'Studio ProFiles Infinite Player_info' file for each kit. So I have to point it to that file first and then to the sample bundle (.nkc) files.

I'm also noticing that a few of the kits do not seem to have corresponding multi files and do not show up in Infinite Player. They are:

Bill Bruford Kit
JB Tamstick Kit
Extra Snares Kit

And don't forget to drop the .zip files into the library installer, don't try to install this manually.

The samples are just the samples needed for the Group Buy. They don't all have corresponding multis - they are referenced for different kits so just make sure you download and install all of them and then you have 15 kits from phase 1 and then another 10 from phase 2 (kit Multis) and that will reference all of the sample zips. There's nothing missing that was supposed to be there.

As far as patches not finding the samples, if you installed the Infinite Player originally then it should have made a folder structure that looks like this for your sounds:

Infinite Player
Instruments
Multis
Samples
Studio_ProFiles_Infinite_Player_Info.nkx

Then from Kontakt on the left side of the interface under "Libraries" tab you would hit "add library" and browse to the "Infinite Player" folder.

Then you load up a multi and it should find the samples and graphics.

Be sure to have installed ALL of the samples zips from the GB before running these Multis. If you haven't then it will NOT find the samples because you don't have them there. Download the FULL sized completed download of the kit "Samples" zips in your user area. Be sure to KEEP them as ZIP and drag/drop them onto the Infinite Library Installer (all of this is in the instructions btw - the quick start guide which also appears as an esoundz news in your member's area for reference). The SOUL kit also happens to have the latest Studio_ProFiles_Infinite_Player_Info.nkx so that should ensure that you have the graphics (the info nkx has the graphics for a Kontakt Player library).

Anyway, if you're having trouble you can also contact allen (at) esoundz (dot) com who is the support manager.

in reference to the bonus MT kits ONLY from both group buys:

are all the MT bonus kits (4 i believe) from the first Group Buy also available in the second group buy?

if so, does that make it six (6) "new" MT bonus kits that can be had in the second group buy?

I'm just trying to figure out if i'm going to be able to get all the bonus MT kits from both group buys from purchasing the GB I DVD and being able to download 5-6 on this second group buy.

damn, my head is spinning......too many extras....but there can't really be TOO many extras now can there :hihi:

thanks for whoever deciphers the above and answers.

Here are the sample zips you should have downloaded and their sizes (just made a jpeg to show you):

I've downloaded everything so far and all the zips match the bytes on your download section. For those who don't know, just right click the downloaded zip file and click on properties. The size should match. Example: I downloaded British Rock and it tells me Size: 451MB (473,286,103 bytes) which matches my download files
USD2 British Rock STm Kit Samples 473286103 Infinite Player

6 new ones that you don't have from the USD1 DVD option. But yes those other 4 are included too in the choices... just don't choose them if you already have 'em!

flick through to 'heart of platinum' demo

that 'tight kit' is the sound i'm after.....

i'm wondering how close i can get to that sound with this new gb
Abbey Road is its own animal. A good deal of their equipment is hand-made "EMI" gear if I am not mistaken? Also, their rooms have a unique tone. If you want THAT sound, I would just go for the NI kit. No sense disappointing yourself with a mimicked "in the feel of" when you could have vintage style drums actually recorded AT Abbey Road ;)

Less is more sometimes :)

Actually, in all fairness, that's not necessarily true. Apart from the sound of the room of Studio 2 which is the most proprietary thing about it, some might rather have drums of that style recorded by the original engineer who did it in the first place (be it Beatles, Floyd or whatever iconic Abbey Road sound)...

At the very least, one isn't automatically more "the real deal" than the other let's just say. It may appear that way on the surface but underneath... not necessarily so. However, none of that matters if you simply LIKE it! If you like it buy it. Cool products... it was even my idea I pitched to them! So of course I like it. We were going to do it... but if I did I would have done it with Parsons, Scott and maybe another engineer from the 60's or 70's era... and maybe (no definitely) it would have taken a lot longer and cost a lot more. Would it be "better"? Still subjective at the end of the day. All that really matters is how you appeciate it.

Wow, Squids and Parsons together. Now I would pay for that.

Okay... I made a mistake on the patches. My bad. There's a missing folder in the hierarchy that I didn't put in there when I uploaded it. We're solving it (easy) now but you can do it yourself if you want as it is super super easy. Just make an "Ultimate Studio Drums 2" folder and put it in the Multis folder. Then take all of the individual kit (should be 14 folders) folders that have the USD2 kit multis in them just drag all of those folders into that Ultimate Studio Drums 2 folder. Then load them. They should find the samples fine. Kontakt is picky about sample paths and by me bypassing the Ultimate Studio Drums 2 folder (leaving it out of the patch zip) that caused the problem... simple, stupid, should have had a V8! But, that's what it was. Doh!

You can also make another Ultimate Studio Drums 2 folder and put that in the Instruments folder. Then all of the new individual kit folders of instruments - put those into the Ultimate Studio Drums 2 folder within the Instruments folder. Same issue.

Don't worry, if you don't want to deal with any of that you don't have to. We're going to have a replacement USD2 Phase 1_1 Patches zip within the hour on line. You can just download that and it will reference the samples just fine.

Well... you never know. Some pictures in our image gallery may hint at some things to come! ;)

Also an album called The Squids Parsons Project. (just kidding about that... well, at least about the name. Not necessarily about some music!)

Hi Squids,

when I add the free DVD upgrade in my cart (http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=4237, and I previously joined the current $99 GB), there's an extra $15 shipping charge required for the international shipping (and I can't select any other international shipping option than the $15 one).

Did I miss something about the international shipping fees for the DVD?

Thank you for your answer, Squids!!!

very dumb question

after downloading the zips and dragging the zip files into the Infinite Installer, do I still need to keep the original zip files or can I delete them from my harddrive. (i know that I wasn't supposed to unzip the files myselfs -- just need to know if I have to keep the zips around after everything.)
