Yes. So a good way to choose which ones you want is to listen to the STm kits and decide which ones you'd like to have more control of the ambience or mic blending... sometimes some of the more ambient ones are a good choice so you can control it more. So, any of the NDV stuff for example is a good choice if you don't already have it.tdm71 wrote:Ok thanks... So the 10 extras to chose from are MT versions of what we already have from either gb1 or 2 but not new kits correct?Chester Desmond wrote:The other 4 (that you didn't list here) were the only MT choices in the first group buy (plus we got their stM versions in that GB), now you can still choose from them plus the other 6 are additional MT choices for this Group buy for a total of 10 to choose from.Ok... I'm sure this has been mentioned before in this novel of a thread but .... Am I correct in saying that there is 6 NEW kits (that GB1 participants do not already have) to choose from out of the ten extra choices ? In other words, are the other 4 only MT versions of previous kits and the BLUES, CLASSIC ROCK, BONZO, MOTOWN, RINGBEAT, & BRITISH ROCK BRAND NEW kits to GB1 owners? Hope that makes sense
The 6 you mention are new to this gb in both STM (which we get automatically by joining) and MT format (which of course are bonus choices).

Well, that's a question of how to install it... yes you can drag and drop it onto the Infinite Library Installer. It will place a folder called "Ultimate Studio Space 2" into your Infinite Player folder. It has OVER 150 waves in it that you can drag and drop into Kontakt's Convolution Reverb which you can access on the auxiliary channels or any of the output channels.megadude wrote:i wondered this too -- do we drag that zip into the infinite installer too, or manually unzip it and stick the files somewhere? (i kind of remember doing the latter for the last groupbuy)tull1996 wrote:Speaking of those 150 impulses...
Kind of a silly question, I know, but how do you actually use those?
I'll make some bonus kits for you guys that have it already assigned. At some point we'll do a video tutorial on it but actually there's a good basic tutorial read here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=277554 That should give you some ideas.

Since everyone is off for the holiday weekend here I am just tweaking out the kits and playing them for hours on end... man, this Hot Timbale kit came out WICKED! I think you're going to like it. It is a sort of hybrid kit that has a different sample pool (so from the same NDV sessions but different choices of samples, tighter hi hats, alternate programming on the timbales and toms... velocity to pitch - all kinds of stuff that makes you want to play for 20 minutes without looking up... which is what I just did!!!!!).
You're gonna like the way you sound. I guarantee it.

No. I didn't know I had to. I'll go look for that. Thanks!jarrydee wrote:Did you re-download the patches folder? squids had to do a little fix to it for that reason!strangechild wrote:I must have screwed something up when installing. I have the kits working but I have to manually browse for the nhx file whenever I load a kit. The samples do all load after I select the file. I also have to do a Spotlight Search within Kontakt to find the file for each kit's GUI. Can someone please tell me how to fix these problems? All the samples are there. The kits work great. I just don't want to have to do this manually each time.
Many thanks

We should have saw that Men's Warehouse line coming. When you do these crazy GB's with ridiculous amounts of libraries for $99 or so, I always think of these famous local car commercials from the 70s (they've become legendary in the advertising industry) where the dealer would come on and say, "We lose money on every car we sell, but we make up for it in volume!" Although, I think, in eSoundz case, you could almost say that line with credibility based on bandwidth for these libraries alone!Squids wrote:Since everyone is off for the holiday weekend here I am just tweaking out the kits and playing them for hours on end... man, this Hot Timbale kit came out WICKED! Okay, what I meant to say was that, in addition to kits played with sticks, rods and brushes, I also really enjoy the more unusual stuff in this GB, like the roto tom kit, the timable kit and the kit played with hands. I've especially been wanting rotos for a long time (as a drummer, I always thought about getting rotos, but never did -- now I can say I finally have them, or at least samples of them!).

Whoaw, Squid, imap seems like a great thing !
I didn't know what was specific about imap. I watched the video you did on YouTube. Not only I understand now the logic, but I've also started to play with and it is very rewarding. Very easy to do a good sounding snare roll or a tom descent. Complete groove are more difficult but I think this more a question of understanding how a drummer would play it.
And yes, these kits are sounding well !

All I see in the download area is "USD2 Patches: Phase 1" and I've already installed that.strangechild wrote:No. I didn't know I had to. I'll go look for that. Thanks!

just curious, but is anyone having any troubles with the Led Zeppelin inspired hybrid kits from the previous group buy? (Here is how many drums we get -- I still haven't played all the hybrid kits from the last one! Woo doggies!) I noticed that the toms and the crash cymbal aren't triggered when I hit notes, but it looks like they are receiving midi signals. So far, these are the only hybrid kits that have this problem over here. For example, the lofizepplin one. The bass drum, high-hat, and snares play, but the toms and the crash don't.
Why'd you slice off my hand?

I got the patches installed and have updated the library but the Bruford's kit is still missing. Where is it, please?Rubos wrote:Dumb question: have you installed the "USD2 Patches: Phase 1"?BrufordRules wrote:Hello,
I have installed:
Bill Bruford STm Kit Samples
NDV Premr Roto STm Kit Samples
NDV Premr Timbale STm Kit Samples
but I can't find them in the library. I updated Library into Kontakt's options and even I made a rescan but I don't know how to load these kits.
Where are them?
Thank you in advanced.
Edit: if you are searching for the NDV Premr Roto and NDV Premr Timbale multis, they are inside the "NDV Premr STm Kits" folder.

These are in the PHASE 2 Kit zip which is coming tomorrow. You have the samples now but the KIT PATCHES are what is in Phase 2 for the Bruford kit and other kits still coming. These are released in "stages" (aka Phases) because we have over 500 people downloading so we spread it out a little bit.BrufordRules wrote:I got the patches installed and have updated the library but the Bruford's kit is still missing. The Toms and Cymbals need to be assigned to SLOTS and you can choose which tom and cymbal you want to play in which place in the GM or V-Drum map. They should have already been assigned... but if they are not it takes 2 seconds to just click the drop down on that tom or cymbal where it says SLOT and pick one!megadude wrote:just curious, but is anyone having any troubles with the Led Zeppelin inspired hybrid kits from the previous group buy? The closest thing to a manual right now for this is the Drum Masters Signature Kit TOUR that I did so please go through that to better understand how it works.
Sometimes there are EXTRA toms and cymbals with slots set to off but there conveniently to turn on and assign if you want.
A Drum Masters 2 Signature Kits manual will be coming soon with more information. Everyone in the GB 1 and 2 will be able to get this manual.
Here, I've made it a sticky in the SR forum: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 73#3968473
