OK. Thanks for the feedback. I plan to buy Jamstix thus my question.
No problem. It's actually easier than I made it sound. I think you'll enjoy Jamstix.

Squids or a fellow SR/eSoundz customer,

I've been in every Drum Masters group buy to date (come on, my screen name is eDrummist, so of course, I have major G.A.S. for drum samples). Consequently, I have A LOT of the DM1 multi-track kits and a good deal of the STm kits too. So, now that I clicked on the link for "USD2 Phase 3 Multitrack Kits and Infinite Player" to select the kits I want, I realized that not having followed this thread all the way through has caught up with me! (FTR, I did read through the last 10 pages but didn't find the answer to my question, stated below.)

So, Squids or anyone who knows the answer: Since I have a bunch of DM1 multi-track versions of the (DM2 multi-track) kits offered for selection and there is an update soon coming for the DM1 kits, I am unclear if the DM2 multi-track versions have additional samples from the DM1 versions or if they will be identical to the DM1 I have with the coming update.

Thanks in advance for the reply!

- eDrummist

Edit: Clarification.

Thanks Squids!! Will we need to download a samples file also or was that all in the first one?

I'm in the same boat but I do remember the scripts ONLY from Drum Masters GB will be updated only at no charge and the additional snares and scripts are not free.
That said I would think the DM2 bonus multitracks are the full version. IOW, Ringbeats for example from Drum Master is not the same totally as the DM2 Ringbeats unless you pay for the upgrade.

"Drum Masters 1 users of all kits will get a free patch update with Drum Masters 2 scripts for each of the kits they own whether they bought them a la carte or in a group buy or in the Silver, Gold or Platinum packages."

"There is NEW sample content in Drum Masters 2 Multitrack and Drum Masters 2 Platinum. To get the new samples of style kits, extra snares and any extra artist kits (such as the Jerry Marotta Taos kit in the Platinum) here are the upgrade prices"

Squid, there is something strange with the phase 2 patches.
For instance, if I load the Bill Bruford kit, it runs in demo mode. I haven't loaded all kits yet. It seems to be ok for the Chambers one (yet some missing tga files are reported).

EDIT: The Bill Bruford demo kit seems to be the only one impacted. Maybe it is related to its library being set to none.
The missing tga files bug is on several kits.

EDIT2: some snares are missing from the Hot Timbale and Mower kits (it's the same). Is there only two files to download in phase 2 ?

Kontakt is searching and cant find the samples for both drum doctors, and also for Hot Timbale and Mower Black Beauty,..and the Weck YAM kit loaded Tama brush kit samples, witch may be right..but I dont know whats up with the other kits, even when I search fro the files they are not there!

The two latest zips seem rather small, especially the ip-usd2phase.zip only has 59,8 MB, not much for a sample zip. Maybe some samples are simply missing.

It contains patches not samples.

I'm getting a "missing samples" message for the following new kits:

Drum Doc
Hot Timbale
Mower Black Beauty

The others seem to be fine (and sound pretty darned good!)

Do we have everything we're supposed to at this point? If so, suggestions on correcting my missing samples issue? In the meantime I'll try a few other things.

To install, I just dragged the new zips to the IP installer and guided it to the IP folder, like I did with all the others. These are the first "missing samples" I'm seeing.

Post

ok, as I watch these new kits load they are loading mostly samples from the other kits..are these new patches supposed to be hybrid kits?

Edit: Clarification.
Same samples, different patches with different scripts. The NKX are exactly the same but there are more samples pulled FROM that NKX that were not used or used in the same way in the original.

So try to pick kits you don't already have. ;)
