With web2.0 you can communicate with anyone, anywhere. But quite a lot of them are stupid c**ts.

Quite a lot of 'musicians' are as well so you can see why this place has problems with knobheads.

I hate the traditional mouse but I don't mind trackpads and trackballs so much. There is definitely room for improvement and the gestures/touchscreen way of doing things could be a big step forward for navigation and selection etc so the mouse I could do without. The keyboard is incredibly useful though. I feel comfortable on one and touch type reasonably quickly and most kids I see around in post-secondary education seem to really fly on the keyboard so we probably have some of the most keyboard proficient generations that have ever lived coming through. I am not in any hurry to have a full tactile keyboard replaced by a flat touchscreen with pictures of keys.

I gather, however, that there is plenty of research into haptic technology which will attempt to provide the user with the necessary sensory info. They are looking into methods of giving tactile feedback through a touchscreen so that the user can actually "feel" the keys or other graphical objects being manipulated and can tell when they have been pressed successfully. I don't think they keyboard is/should be going anywhere until this technology is integral to the touchscreen interface.
Can't find a word there to disagree with (and exactly why there's a keyboard available for use with it...)! I was in a sense considering that interface as one unit, and I shouldn't have, since the keyboard did predate the mouse by a margin...

Just wanted to add that, looking further into the future, the potential keyboard replacement could be a gesture based system akin to sign language, where thoughts become gestures, which become words... A ways off, but wouldn't that be something!

If providing information which oposes your view is seen as such. Others might say its providing a balanced view rather than a fanboy one

Nah - you just need a dose of reality about your itoy:

"This is pretty annoying. I have been an apple convert for maybe about two years now. But, this is a little ridiculous with a brand new, high cost item...especially one that is supposed to make web browsing easier. And I agree with posters that say that everything else should not have to be changed or updated (like routers, etc.) just because I got one new device. I'm a big believer in if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. From what I see, the only thing broken is the connection with the iPad. THAT should be fixed. "

So much for Apple getting things right - again.

My itoy? I never said I wanted one. In fact I said before that I thought it was pretty much an enlarged iPod. I can think for myself and I'm sure others can as well. You don't need to spam threads. If you really think you need to post this crap go post it on Apple's forums.

If I was going to buy a product and it had issues - Id want to know. Burying your head in the sand about problems dosnt help anyone.

Like I said, go post your trolling on Apple's forums. You'll be able to 'help' a lot more people.
