His comment actually worried me, as I know zip about loops. :( It may bother other people too...
Done. No worries. That is what a post like that is meant to do. To try to dissuade people for whatever the motive is. Like I said, could be a competitor of AM or SR, could be someone who just wants to stir things up (called a spammer) or just a frustrated person who gets off on bashing developers or commercial web sites... there are plenty of forums on the net for one to get their kicks (npi) doing THAT. But not on KVR so much and even less in the developer's own forum so... we'll keep the experience clean and honest so that someone like yourself hopefully doesn't get intimidated.

In any case, I don't see why these loops won't "work" with ANYTHING. They are in three formats to choose from (and you get all three) but one of them - WAVE - is compatible with EVERYTHING. Okay, they are 24 bit wave so you just have to be sure whatever you're using can read 24 bit 48k wave files and if it can then it works.

If by "works" you mean something specific like does it snap to tempo or does it "X?" let us know and I am sure someone can answer. This RMV product, you may want to also talk to fellow RMV users which likely are not in the SR forum per se but in somewhere on KVR or the next talking about that product already. In fact, it might even be cool if someone mentioned this in that context anyway! Perhaps you may help another person out looking for high quality loops at a great price.

On the side of "who is Sonic Reality" and the quality of things... read up "about the company" on our web site: www.sonicreality.com We've provided sounds for the top software and hardware companies in the musical instrument business for years. Anyway, if you have a minute - watch some cool Sonic Reality TV. You can check out some of the sessions where Sonic Reality loops are made! www.sonicreality.tv or go to You'll probably LOVE this stuff! A lot goes into it. We record most of it ourselves and with some incredibly talented and accomplished studio musicians, producers and engineers in the world.

Hope that helps even more than just deleting a controversial post!

If you want to check out the quality for yourself, simply go to some of the RAW pak pages on eSoundz.com:

http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=1479

They're awesome! Check out more RAW pak demos in list that will show up on the lower right of the page.

Wow, tough crowd...
I wouldn't think there'd be much controversy over a 90% OFF no brainer deal for top quality loops in 3 MAJOR FORMATS. I mean, really - It's not like SR is a brand new company without a reputation for quality. Not to mention just coming off of one of the most successful group buys in history!

Anyone with any doubts just needs to do a quick search on Squids or SR. They are the real deal.

Oh, and BTW, this particular product was reviewed in some major trade 'zines with very high marks, for those that don't trust KVR threads.

No prob! That's totally legit. Just the one person... and one isn't a crowd! But, Berf's point is... if 90% off a pro company's product isn't good enough then... you have to wonder! ;)

Enjoy the no brainer deal! Within it I am confident you'll find all sorts of inspiration... and no doubt worth the money spent!

Anyway, thanks for the good vibes! We appreciate the thumbs up. We also want our friends at AudioMidi to do well with this since it really is for everyone (everyone that uses loops anyway). I mean, there couldn't be a more universally compatible format than all three of these loop formats! REX2, Apple Loops and Acidized Wave! All 24 bit by the way. They'll work in Logic, ProTools, Cubase, FL Studio, Ableton Live, Reason, Stylus RMX, Tracktion, Sonar, Soundtrack, GarageBand, Kontakt, Halion, Sequel, EXS24, Digital Performer, Mach 5, Structure... you name it.

;) I hope more company will go for 'no brain deal' , it's something very good.

edit: i really enjoy the instrumenst that you have made for Sampletank. :tu:

I am also waiting for the redeem code. I ordered Friday night. The confirmation e-mails came instantly. Funny how you can live without something and then you set your mind to wanting it and then you need it instantly. I am a victim of my own psychology. I will be patient. Cheers - Scotty

simple question: if people can tell others on this forum that they like a product, why can't people say they don't like this product? I didn't even use offensive language or insult anyone.
simply because something is cheap, doesn't say it's worth buying it.

You actually were a bit insulting in the sense that you basically said "this product is crap so don't buy it if you know what's good for you". Not only is that an inaccurate assessment, but you decided to post it in this section of KVR, which is the home of the developer. Why should they have to leave comments which are designed to make people skeptical of one of their products?

If you actually shared an opinion that didn't sound so dismissive (and uninformed), like "I am not sure that product X is as good as product Y because of Z", then your comments probably would have remained. But you just dissed the product for unknown reasons.

For the record, I say again that I have all these drum paks, and think that quality is top-notch. I would definitely take part in this no-brainer deal if I didn't have these paks already.

There is a way to be respectfully critical in a company's forum if it is done constructively with more information indicating you are an actual user of the product. Otherwise it can easily appear to be either someone trolling, spamming, looking for negative attention or even a competitor looking to bash competing products... we don't know due to the anonymous nature of the forum. But, regardless of that, we can choose what we want to allow in our company forum. There's plenty of constructive criticism that passes through whether we like it or not. We're very upfront and straightforward, admit our faults, are proud of our strengths (and top studio quality grooves happen to be one of them by the way... working with some of the best in the industry there aren't too many that refute that!)...

So, anyway, if you don't know where that line is of disrespect to a company's own forum then you can try out anything and don't be surprised if it is moderated. If one has a sense of what would be considered "constructive" criticism then they can participate without any surprises. Not too hard and for the 9 years we've been on KVR with our company forum thankfully we haven't had too many issues with people not knowing what is appropriate and respectful to say or not. There's plenty of praise AND criticism here.
