An wavetable editor is currently the most discussed topic at the Waldorf forum and the wavetable editor is from the the same person that already made an Blofeld editor.
The links for the other editors (and other downloads...) are at the end of page 2 of this thread.

A big resource for Blofeld/Waldorf downloads, including patches, some wavetables and the Sounddiiver adaption is from Stromeko (nickname "ASSI" at the Waldorf forum) who is a Blofeld (and other synths) beta tester:

http://synth.stromeko.net/Downloads.html

PS: Some of the new wavetable memory locations are currently called "reserved" so i guess that Waldorf will add some wavetables there in the final release of OS 1.15.
Possibly they will add the wavetables from Stromeko there since he is a beta tester and those wavetables are from famous synths like e.g. Prophet VS or Ensoniq SQ-80.

There are partially probs with the Blofeld keyboard version (OS Update). They work on it.

Blofeld OS 1.15 is now officially announced on the Waldorf site:

The file still seems to be the beta version from 2nd of April.

Still the same file - problems still exists - still waiting.

Did the update again, this time with the Windows Media Player, all messages correct received (also during the Updates). Display-message after the OS-Update:

Firmware ready after click
Do *not* switch power off !
Press <play> to start.

After Updating I closed the Windows Media Player, disconnected the USB (Highspeed 2.0) Cable and pressed "Play". Everything seems allright - but is not. Some days and I downgrade.

Really strange problem. Did you try MIDIBar from MIDI-Ox for theb transfer? With MIDIBar you can select the Blofeld as the output. WMP transfer doesn't seem to work with Windows 7.

Maybe you could also ask here: support@waldorfmusic.de

I've read there are a lot of errors with MidiOX transfer... Perhaps sending MIDI out from your DAW could do?

Post

Thanks Ingonator for your help.

Midi-Ox (MidiBar) doesn't work. I think the updates run correctly. First I used CubaseLE4, last time Windows Media Player (VISTA).

For all Vista-User, install the content of this little tool (http://putzlowitsch.de/wp-content/uploa ... r_0_93.zip) to windows/system32 and select under System Control - Further Options (use a german Windows) the desired Midi device. Now your Media Player send the midi data to the Blofeld (or other synths). Should also work for Windows 7.

Waldorf Support is informed. They will release a further update, only the keyboard version is problematic.

I post this here just for the guys may have also problems with the keyboard version.

Btw. I downgraded to 1.13, everything runs well. So to me now it's more comfortable to wait for 1.16 or a newer 1.15.

Excuse my bad english

For Midi files you use "MIDIBar" which is a small program which is installed together with MIDI-Ox. Using MIDI-Ox directly will not work for Midi files.
The good thing on MIDIBar is that you could select the output for the file, e.g. "Waldorf Blofeld" for the USB connection.

I have tried transferring data with Ableton Live which didn't work and i found somewhere that it could not transfer sysex dumps.

Can anyone tell me how to load user wavetables?

Do I just send them to the blofeld in the same way as a software update?

I've tried sending them over midi and USB and while the blofeld midi light is lit while they are being sent nothing appears in the user wavetable locations.....

If you downloaded a midi file from e.g. Stromeko's site you could send it with a midi file player like e.g. MIDIBar.
An wavetable editor is currently in beta status (for the link see at the end of page 3).

Just got my Blofeld Keyboard yesterday... wondering if I should try the 1.15 upgrade, but as far as I read here, it's still not working, or is it? Has somebody got this to update correctly on the Keyboard?

It's working, it just depends on how you update (USB or MIDI). Quite some amount of people updated successfully, so why don't you try it as well? You can always rollback to previous version if something goes wrong.

just did the update using media player classic. Worked like a charm. thanks!
I tend to be a bit paranoid about firmware updated after I has some problems with some devices in the past...
