Magix Vandal amp sim = Winner in terms of sound quality so far

Well, thank you Peter but as a free man in a free country I can express my feelings though they may be wrong or even non-sense for others.

Free speech doesn't extend to private internet forums. People always use the claim of "free speech", but that is wrong.

No, it's not. Sure, you can speculate and guess, and to be honest, nobody is going to sue you for expressing a wrong statement. At least I wouldn't think so. However, even in a country where free speech DOES exist, you have the obligation to back up claims that could in some way damage an individual or company. You say you are unbiased and don't work for a company. Great. I have no idea. But you DID indeed make claims about how AT3 works, and you have ZERO IDEA if what you are saying is true. You have tried to back out of that in later posts by saying that you didn't make claims. But you did. And that is what Peter is addressing. You don't have the right to make completely false statements about a company, and should at the very least expect to be confronted when you do so.

Anyway as I said before I just enjoy making music with all my gears, and I hope we all try our best to keep our eyes more OPEN to not get entraped by the forces of the conspiracy theoreticians. )

Not a strange world. But people don't like clear attempts to discredit other products without evidence. You like Vandal. Fine with me. If it sounds better to your ears and lets you make more music, that's all that matters.

But you didn't keep it at that. And that was your problem. You said in a later post that you didn't single out any particular amp sim, but you did. You specifically called out AT3 and made claims that aren't true.

I personally don't know or believe that you are working for Magix or anything. Who knows, maybe you are a beta tester. Maybe just a huge fan. I don't know, and don't particularly care. I'm only commenting on the fairness of your statements.

Actually I have a problem with Vandal, I'm using Live 8 and once in a while especially when I'm changing the settings on it's interface, it just mute it itself for no reason ! ..then I have to close the plug-in and re open it again to make it to work. anyone else experienced that problem in Live 8 yet ?

About my problem in Live 8, I have found it that only changing the settings for Mics and Cabs and sometime changing presets can make Vandal stops working, it just mute itself for no reason until you re-open it again inside live 8.

Man this Noise Gate inside Vandal is too good, one of the best NGs I have ever worked with, comes after the noise gate of Guitar Rig which is also great . But I still have that damn problem in Live 8 and even in Reaper it crashes when I change presets.

Please fix the problems with MIDI and the crashing bugs inside DAWs and then it will be perfect

Amp modelling plug-ins just dont work for me. At most my 'real' amps FX loop out or if its pre-amp then ReValver MK II or BoogieX with suitable IR. A good high-gain distortion pedal into Ampeg SVX is the other way and SVX is great for clean sounds also. The amp modelling just can't deliver what i really get out of my amps, cabs though, not even close tbh. AmpegSVX is my pick and its meant for bass guitar! But again thats just me
