Steve,
I gotta say congrats on still doing sample sets for the now discontinued Alesis Fusion synths.
Most, if not all sample library developers would just switch over to the Next Greatest Newest Non-Discontinued Sampler.
Andrew Coughlan.
Fusion soundpacks not abandoned? :-)

I see no reason not to support something just because it's been discontinued - there's still a loyal user base out there (especially with Fusion) who are after new sounds and I have the tools and the knowledge and experience and the wherewithal to do it so why not?
I still support the old Akai S5/6000 too ... and not without good reason - there is a large user base out there who buy my stuff in that format (especially in Scandinavia for some reason - they must prefer hardware).
I shall continue to do so as well!
It's all too easy to assume that everyone's using Kontakt but that is simply not the case - many still prefer the hardware route and I am keen to support them ... which makes Hollow Sun somewhat unique perhaps.
Cheers,
Steve

i'm a loyal fusion owner and very thankfull to steve. on the note of the s5000 format. just thought i would let steve know that now Native Instruments Maschine will be supporting .akp format in the new version 1.5 and i gotta say steve is getting alot of love over at the NI forums
quick question though. is there any way to buy say the s5000 format and also get a copy of the fusion format or do i have to buy both ?

Buy one and I'll throw the other in. It would be duplicitous of me to sell the same set of samples twice to you. Besides, you could buy the S5000 and legitimately convert it to Fusion so what the hell!Flux302 wrote:quick question though. is there any way to buy say the s5000 format and also get a copy of the fusion format or do i have to buy both ?
