Works ok with built in Logic instruments though
anyone else can confirm this?
you are experiencing the aformentioned "black magic stuff" that remains somewhat of a mystery to us with regard to the inner workings of and subtlies of Win Vista/7 permissions and "enhanced security". Currently we have no idea why this happens to a very small percentage of users...Breeze wrote:Wow! I was reading the readme and I was dying to hear this stuff! But unfortunately under W7-64 bit the setup.exe starts and dies. It appears briefly in Task Manager, and then it's gone. I've tried "Run as admministrator" but that's not working either. BTW: in the properties the version still reads 1,0,0,2.
Can I install it manually? Or does the installer do additional mojo?
We can not reproduce (at lest on OSX.6.3). What instrument specifically? OS? Hardware?nj wrote:Having problems with it in Logic 9.1.1 on OS 10.5.8, with 3rd party instruments on the channel. It either quits Logic or no audio on output.

I had not problems installing under Windows 7 64 bit. The Setup.exe installation went smooth.Galbanum wrote:you are experiencing the aformentioned "black magic stuff" that remains somewhat of a mystery to us with regard to the inner workings of and subtlies of Win Vista/7 permissions and "enhanced security". Manual install is fine.
..scratch that, it seems maybe there is something odd here. We are exploring...Galbanum wrote:We can not reproduce (at lest on OSX.6.3). What instrument specifically? OS? Doing a quick test here with Aether inserted on Instrument tracks in Logic using Absynth 5, Alchemy, Tassman and Kontakt, all smooth, no crashes. It might depend on the Aether Algorhythm used maybe?Galbanum wrote:..scratch that, it seems maybe there is something odd here. Most/all common hosts communicate this information to plug-ins... It is automatic. My initial question is - how does aether know when it's doing an offline bounce? Do I just bounce a song in SONAR as normal? Do I have to tell aether at any point?
