So let me get this straight................Say someone is new to the scene and just building their studio. For $50 they get the Full SampleTank engine with a gig of samples plus at least 3 other titles to build their library plus another gig of samples from esoundz? We didn't have these kind of deals when I was growing up.

I've already got ST2 but I've found enough material between the three xpansion packs I've chosen to more than justify the cost. Anything added now is just gravy.

Thanks to Squids for including those of us who purchased through IK in the free extra content. I didn't see the esoundz offer before purchasing through the IK shop.

Not quite, I'm afraid. As I read it, to get the gigabyte of extra SampleTank sounds that is not part of the Group Buy, you need to buy your Group Buy entrance from eSoundz. BUT, it does not matter where you got your SampleTank 2 from (or you can select ST2 XT at IKMM).

And if you already have ST2, if you buy from eSoundz you can forego the ST2 XT and choose an additional Xpansion Tank 2 Library instead.

I think you only get an extra library if you bought sampletank from esoundz....That's the way I read his statement.

Actually, we decided to give EVERYBODY the extra library and it is one that isn't part of the Group Buy so we know no one has it. Simple. A gigabyte of extra SampleTank sounds exclusively from esoundz - all you have to do is purchase the Group Buy from us! Simple. If you bought SampleTank from us you get it, if you bought it somewhere else you still get it and even if you didn't buy SampleTank yet you get it for FREE in this deal!!!!! So everyone should be happy. We hope so!

So besides being 4 cents cheaper (that was actually an unintentional mistake - it was supposed to be $49.99 but a typo in your favor crept in and we just left it) we said from the very beginning to check back this week for the "Exclusive Extra On Top" if you buy it from www.esoundz.com That's our angle - MORE sounds. In this case I think our "raise the deal" extras are going to be better than we've ever done before. In the past we did play along AmpliGrooves for the AmpliTube Group Buy and I think for the TR Singles we did a free R.A.W. pack - but for THIS Group Buy, we have a gigabyte of exclusive sound content for SampleTank that complements the material in the 30 titles... including some previously unreleased multisamples and loops! Had to get down on this. I have the Total Workstation Bundle and I actually surprise myself with how frequently I use it. I'm never exactly thrilled to open ST 2 XL but it's just so easy and efficient to use when you just need a simple sound quickly. I actually mangle the hell out of SampleTron sounds on a fairly regular basis. I'm definitely down to blend some ARP and guitar ITB and mangle those for a while. Plus, I'll add some less resource hungry but decent sounding strings to my repertoire for $50 which I'm sure I'll use for film scoring.

With that last statement, I'd at least choose Symphony Strings 2 and Cinematik if you don't already have the SS and/or Film Orchestra I & II tanks. The XT 2 library has some very usable strings from Miroslav Philharmonik in it too. I'm sure the extra Squids content will have something for you too. I may just have to beg for that one myself.
