Liner notes:
"I've always had a very conflictual relationship with sleep. My natural sleep/wake cycle is the opposite of most people, as I go to sleep at 5.00 or 6.00 am and get up at 2.00 pm, more or less. That makes things very difficult in a society whose waking hours are very different. It is not just that, though. Nightmares (I mean terryfing way beyond description ones) were an issue for many years. Now they have disappeared, but I still have some quite interesting bad dreams and agitated nights of not-exactly sleep. Insomnia is yet another problem that plagues my nights now and then, often triggered by occasionally having to get up in the morning, and even more often by worries and looping thoughts. However, sleep is also the place where I find the solutions that escape me during my waking hours. And, above all, it is a condition/mechanism that fascinates and scares me deeply. I came up with the concept behind this album in 1995, even if I had probably been thinking about it for many years. I only composed one definitive track, though, which I have re-made now (track no 1 on this album). It sounds quite different from the original, of course, because now I am a very different person (I'm writing this in 2010). However, even if I wouldn't record it in the same way today, I have decided to include the original 1995 recording as a bonus track, as I think it still has something to say. I made it with the only instrument I had back then (a Roland D5) and by bouncing audiocasettes one track at a time. Anyway, the music on this album faithfully represents part of what sleep is to me today and what my nights are like..."

On the subject of albums Mac, I'm working on a prog which will result in a self contained album app .... an e-album if you like, when I've finished the programming I will be able to collect sleeve images etc, and music files and turn them into an interactive standalone product!
... if I can do it quick enough, I will create a version of this comp as an 'e-album' and that will be the participants prize. I will also do an e-album for the winner if he supplies me with a number of tracks and some images ( where I'll find the time I dont know ... but I'll get it done! )

Sorry, not got started with the prizegiving yet, but I have the e-album prog done and working great!

If anyone would like a pic of themselves, or any other relevant images included in the package, please contact me and arrange to send them to me. I think this time round the prize need not be exclusive to participants as the package, if shared, could benefit the profiles of all participants .... so although I will give a link only to participants, I see no reason to restrict who said participants want to give a copy to ... or sell it if you can ... provided no-one involved has any objections??

Sorry, you prob wont know what I'm talking about until you get the app and open it up for yourselves ... all will be clear in the fullness of time

Ok, tell you what, here's a half built version which will give you an idea of whats happening ....

The titles are 5 tracks from the comp, but the music is not on ... instead, I'm using some short clips of Kepa Junkera ( being the free downloadable clips he offers in order to tempt folks to buy his albums, I doubt if he'll sue me for distributing them ... if anything, he might get a sale or two! ).... and the buttons on the top right open and close a couple of images of me ... all of the above can/will be replaced as I develop the package.
I would hope to have windows open with excerpts from reviews submitted etc.

OK, I've done a load of work on the above project ... now have info screen opening up on start of each track ... not a lot of info on them yet, but its all working rather nicely ... gonna have to postpone prizegiving I think, a few things to catch up with ... but we'll see how it goes

Cool Mac ... that will pop up when your track starts alongside any info you want to give me ... unless I get a load of images ... then I might put them all together as one of the clickable images .... to replace my equally horrific image

This thing is really taking shape ... I'll not hurry it .. like give folks time to contribute to our very own e-album

..Oh, and the info ... might just be the stuff on your submitted textfile, or excerpts from the submitted reviews ... or a bit about the track from the discussion pages ... dunno, I'm still flying with it really
