i'm sorry, i thought this was explained throughout the thread. we've beem wondering about packs with different names having similar content. i was just seeing if ik could straighten that out for us. i, and i believe others, are looking for a "there is no overlap between any of our products" or " there is X% overlap of pack A into pack B"

As soon as the sound lists are published, I'm sure one of us will do that analysis, maybe even me. That's the clearest way to go - with all the data on the table. Less work for Squids/IK and more info for us.

I know people are waiting for official word on this but fwiw, like most e-soundz junkies, I own:
all the Capsules,
all the Expansion Tanks\Collections,
Miroslav
Sampletank XL
Sonik Synth 2
and from e-soundz group Buys:
Vintage Collection , Rare Instruments (Acoustic and Electronic), ST2.5 Bonus Disc, Rare Vintage Bonus, Best of Sonic Strings, Film Orchestra 1 and 2.

In other words nearly all of the content which is now available in the various Tanks of this group buy.

In order to narrow down my earlier remarks about the Arp tank, I ran a "duplicate file" routine on my entire ST Instruments folder last night and was pleasantly surprised to find a very small amount of overlap between all of these libraries. Like an electric piano might be in Sonik Synth and the Vintage Collection or a guitar in both Sampletank XL and the Rare Instruments. Literally out of thousands of sounds (over 7800 in just STXL and SS2), there were maybe 30-40 that overlapped something else (which is approx a 0.38 - 0.5% overlap)
In some cases this overlap was due to the "Collection" aspect of the libraries...ie not surprising to find a Doors style organ in both Sonik Synth and Vintage Collection (imagine how many times you will have Satisfaction if you own every release from the Rolling Stones). It's also worth noting, for example, that a guitar which appears in both XL and a Capsule will be in much more detail (more presets\articulations) in the Capsule.

As Squids and others have mentioned, for people like me who have been in all the E-soundz Group Buys, it will be pretty hard to find anything you don't already own.
However if you are mostly concerned about overlap with Sonik Synth or Sampletank L\XL, it seems you're pretty safe in choosing any of these.

Squids and/or Peter, is there a lot of SR content overlap between SonikSynth 2 and each of vintage keys, piano collection, and world instruments expansions? If so, is it 20%, 30%, 50%, higher? Thanks!

Very little. I'd have to guess less than 20%.

And if you already have ST2, if you buy from eSoundz you can forego the ST2 XT and choose an additional Xpansion Tank 2 Library instead.

I think you only get an extra library if you bought sampletank from esoundz....That's the way I read his statement.

Actually, we decided to give EVERYBODY the extra library and it is one that isn't part of the Group Buy so we know no one has it. Simple. A gigabyte of extra SampleTank sounds exclusively from esoundz - all you have to do is purchase the Group Buy from us! Simple. If you bought SampleTank from us you get it, if you bought it somewhere else you still get it and even if you didn't buy SampleTank yet you get it for FREE in this deal!!!!! So everyone should be happy. We hope so!

Actually, we made it much simpler. All you have to do is buy the GB from esoundz and you'll get the extra "Wild Card" pack of extras (1GB of extras!). But you don't have to forego anything.

Count me in as a fence-sitter (leaning over though but holding back). My wifey gave me the go ahead- as long as we get to 4 for 1 or more (I love her!!!!). She knows how much a Kore pack is so this is a great deal (as long as the quality is good). I will wait to see the patch lists so I can make a proper purchase.
