+1 about overlap between SS2 and the expansions.

I was in the SampleTank Rare and Vintage Group Buy a couple of years ago. Would it be safe to choose the world expansion or is there much overlap? Thanks!
The vintage would be from that Rare and Vintage GB so don't choose that one if you were in that group buy. You can choose the World one (unless you were in the World Orchestra group buy a year or so prior).

The sound lists will be posted soon.

Actually you were 30 minutes late. I saw the first post in this thread an purchased right away. Not your fault just a spot of bad luck for me.
Squids wrote: But, you CAN also buy it again!R
Only if the additional content is worth it as I already have the titles I wanted.
I will share with you all some time next week what our exclusive extra library is about. Honestly I think it is worth a good $50 just on its own - it is THAT good - just to know. But I will have more details soon so you can make that decision yourself... or just take a leap of faith and join again on esoundz. At least you get to pick out ANOTHER 3 titles (maybe more) plus this exclusive bonus Wild Card Raise the Bar Deluxe Deluxe Uber Deluxe Pack from SR.

By the way, another thing to know is that I am planning on making some extra patches for some of the titles. I was going through it and thought it could use some extra TLC - such as the Cinematik which is very basic and once you put some nice longer releases, delays and reverb it comes alive so I will be doing that later this month and that WILL be a free update for ANYONE who joined - not just esoundz customers. Some extra patches courtesy of El Squidsarino. ;)

Not to be argumentative, but I was in the Rare and Vintage GB and it came with "Squids Rare Instruments Vol. 2 - Acoustic" which was almost all world\ethnic stuff. (in addition to the Vintage-electronic stuff)
Are you saying that there may be other World stuff from another GB that I am missing?
I'll just wait and see the lists to answer that, but thought I should mention it in case a Rare and Vintage owner saw your message.

I need to know that, too.

p.s.: anyway of having chosen libraries available in esoundz user account? I don't really like (if I've seen right) "the download files remain there for 30 days". I do backup but I like having it done for me better.

Yes, you'd qualify for the crossgrade pricing on all IK products. :)

I did some googling and have found a mixed bag of review on this instrument. Am I correct that this version is from 2004 timeframe. I am not sure about the real sound quality as well (as indicated in some reviews). How does the sound quality compare to current standards- or does it have it's own color that is sought after?

Ask yourself this. How does it sound compared to the other $50 multi layered sample playback engines with multi gigs of samples included deals that are out there.......

Yes that will help people decide. $50 for a gig of quality samples that I need and/or want is a good deal. Throw in the 3 or more extra discs which I really don't need and it never the less becomes an even better deal. More patches are always welcome. I've always wondered why you don't see more third party patches for ST2 either freeware or commercial.
