Actually, I followed the redeem link and surprise surprise! There's actually 10 MT kits on the list of options, 5 of which I didn't have.

Thanks Squids! That's really cool.

Ah ha, then you meant the bonus from The Sequel GB - 5 choices from 11 (including Infinite Player). I got the impression that you were talking about the USD GB bonus (2 choices from 5, including EZplayer Pro).

Anyway, it looks as though you are good to go. :)

Oh yes... the DVD arrived this afternoon. (USD GB2) :D

Now to decided which MT bonus kits to download. Lots 'n lots of drums: still working my way thru GB1 samples. And all the extras. It's going to keep my fingers drumming for a good long while.

Thanks again!

Actually, I was pretty well good to go after the first group buy last year. This is just obscene!

I'm in Vegas Baby Vegas. (Bring something nice to wear) Still working on the Hybrid kits for both USD2 and the USD1 and 2. I hope to have everything for you guys by tomorrow night but in a worste case it will be over the weekend or on Monday at the latest. Just tricky to coordinate at the moment but it's just too good and I had to add this in! Hybrid kits combining the kit pieces is what makes Drum Masters 2 Signature Kits extra cool!

By the way, even though the Ultimate Studio Drums bundles are over next week we're releasing Drum Masters 2 Signature Kits... don't worry, if you were in both USD1 and 2 you have everything in that already (you'll probably be more interested in the expansions coming such as Signature Snares, Signature Cymbals etc.). But for anyone who MISSED these two group buys, you can pick up Drum Masters 2 Signature Kits and we've decided to include Vol. 1 and 2 together as one mega bundle for $199. So it is almost as good as these group buys except they don't include the Ocean Way kits - that I told you all was definitely a one off thing and won't likely happen again. Also the hybrid kits that used any kit pieces from OWD are also exclusives that you won't see anywhere else. But the Drum Masters STm kits will be officially released soon!

Oh yes, and that also means updates for STm and MT users of DM1... all throughout next week that will be happening kit by kit.

"Swingers"

Loaded the kits off the DVD last night. Some really nice snares in there and love having the rotos in my collection. The great bonus for me was having these convolution impulses. Wow.

I've hardly had a chance to even demo each kit more than a couple of minutes each, but between both USD group buys I've boosted my drum arsenal with some incredible samples. I know how I'll be spending my weekend. :D

Thanks again. It's like Christmas on tax day!

So are these things ready or what?

So while we are waiting I'll ask a couple of noob questions. If you don't have Roland Vdrums but you do have some electronic drum kit, I assume you use the Vdrum settings rather than the general midi settings. That's what I've been doing, and I *think* it sounds better. But maybe that's an audible illusion. For non-vdrum electronic drum kits, does it matter whether you use the GM setting or the vdrum setting? what are the differences that will make a difference for most non-roland drum kits?

It's there. Only very minor changes though - V-Drum hats for Bruford and NDV Timbale Kit with the new script. That's it. You can download the same USD2 Global Patch Update and run it again if you need those two kits with the V-Drum hi hat.

Well, one cool thing about running the V-Drum mode even playing from a keyboard is if you take CC4 on a knob or modwheel to control the hi hat closed to open. That'd be cool and I forget offhand what CC is for the snare position but that too would be fun to do with a knob in real time. There may be some more round robining... although there should be a fair amount of that in the GM as well. It's up to you! Whatever works best - you have options.

I am using the alesis usb pro kit and I use Vdrum..you will still need to set them up the way you want them..like I use my snare rim for, well..snare rim instead of side stick!

PS. Did you end up getting the alesis kit?

I've tried it (in vdrum mode of course !) : the ndv timbale is ok, but for the bruford kit, the hihat is in demo mode : if it's just a false "mistake" in the name and if it's not limited in time, it's not a real problem for me. But let me know Squids please.

Not yet -- been saving up money and waiting for my tax return. I'm going to make a decision today. I found someone selling a used roland td6 for 600$ that I am going to check out this afternoon, which is also a factor. What do you think old TD6 vs. Alesis USB PRO?
