I think you'll find they are busy with the Musikmesse this week. Ekeaze, interesting you say it works fine as Holger from Waldorf also says he has no problems with his MacBook Pro but I can not use it at all well in Logic 9.1.1 on both my Macbook and MacPro. Which OS are you running?

Cheers.

I'm actually kinda nervous that waldorf decided to fix this thing after PPG3 release. It's mean, that we will wait the whole year to see this thing improved. Hell ya!

I'm quite sure that PPG 3.V will not take that long time...

Waldorf seems to be aware of most of the problems with their synths which the release of the Blofeld OS 1.15 shows so they will fix the remaining Largo problems sooner or later.

They must bring a new Version with a Copy Protection fix
and a fix for the Slow GUI under Windows 7.

If they dont do that i will sell my Largo.

They MUST remove dongle from now, cos cracked(air keygen) version is all over the net now. So WE are forced to use dongle, but others not! :x

On the Waldorf beta forum i heard that you have to delete your other licenses to make the crack work. So it makes only sense for people who use cracked programs exclusively.
BTW i use a dongle for Largo since day one and never had problem with it (same about e.g. Arturia jupiter 8V and Korg Legacy Digital Ed. or the PolyKB demo). Now all people could see how "good" those non-dongled versions really are. BTW Rob Papen and Arturia seem to have have the same problem now...
On the other hand we could ask: Was there any copy protection in the past that was not cracked sooner or later ?? The dongle was the best so far in this respect so companies maybe caused those problems themselves by allowing non-dongled protection.

Finally the existence of a cracked version does not necessarily imply to remove the copy protection for the legal customers IMO.

Actually, there are hardware dongle softs cracked too, but they are a little more messy to code.
I think that companies should try to take less efforts on relying on a copy protection. Ironically, the pirated e-licenser softwares are the most user friendly cracked stuff around there.

I'd suggest that the software developers should ask Urs Heckmann for copy protection morality issues and methods.

???

1.) How do you know this. Have you tried it ?
2.) What should be more "user friendly" about it ?

IMO the new official eLicenser software is quite user friendly too, much better than the old Syncrosoft versions. Even more if you got an USB dongle.

A very easy copy protection was/is the CD authorization from the Waldorf Edition which would be difficult if they want to sell download versions.

PS: I think that my Waldorf Blofeld has the best copy protection and it has no GUI bugs too. :hihi:

Every thing will be cracked eventually it just a matter of time. If I remember correctly there was a thread about a Dongle emulator crack thing .
The only two ways to prevent piracy is pure hardware or freeware.

Glad I never bought this thing.. if close to 70% of users have GUI problems, and Waldorf still didn't fix it, then that's one company I'll skip when spending money. Regardless of their popularity in the hardware world. This is software, and in this world different rules apply. Like updating you buggy software regularly

Ohhhhoo! Will test it under XP!

Still huge spikes while adjusting parameters EVEN when project are not playing.
Example: CPU in normal: 15 %
While adjusting cutoff it gets till 50% CPU loading(with stopped project!)

XP SP3.

(i didn't have so big problem with gui anyway)
