I've downloaded and registered the app and I'm waiting for the sounds to finish downloading.
One question - I don't seem to have come across a manual so far, the only pdf in the installer was an installation guide. Is there a manual?
Cheers

There is a manual.
After installation you'll find it in the Start Menu under IK Multimedia\Sampletank

What is this "start" menu to which you refer?Cognition wrote:There is a manual.

On a Mac here and I don't appear to have an IK folder, just the standalone app and of course, the plug-in inside my host.
Hmmm.....any more ideas?

Wow, lots of action... Looks like we're ramping up nicely and I really do enjoy the graphs. Thanks, DarkStar!
I should also add that since I was also waiting for this to answer what I could about the sounds - the sound lists are up if folks haven't seen that. Thanks!

...now THANKS for that hint! I also hoped that there would be additional sample material...LetUBleed wrote:hmmm seems I made a mistake by choosing symphony strings 2 - its mainly the same content like in symphony strings which I already own - I thought it would be based on additional sample stuff...
nevertheless a great deal anyway!

Thanks for the combis Teksonik! I'm having great fun playing themTeksonik wrote:Let me see if I can lighten the mood.....or kill it all together.
Combis? Did someone say Combis? I just loaded a set of 20 combis using "only" the XT content that comes with this group buy. Certainly not in the same quality waters as Squids but hey I had fun making them. Hopefully someone will have fun playing them as well.![]()

(Why are SampleTank Combis so big? 20 presets weighs in at about 4 megs)

We do now have the sound lists posted, didn't mean to cause any confusion. Squids has been doing a great job keeping up with the requests in the thread too, so I thank him for that.TrekStar wrote:...now THANKS for that hint! The Acoustic Drums 2 multi-sample collection uses iMap. There are great demonstrations of the iMap drum lay-out here:

iMap is new to me and those videos above explain it quite well. There's seemingly iMap and iMap extended, and I assume the "higher-end" stuff like Ocean Way uses the extended iMap, while the ones in this bundle offer the regular version.barbecutie wrote:Hi Jesse J.Jesse J wrote:Speaking of the video demos...

The finger drumming in the demonstrations are what I'd call fine chops! I'm looking forward learning some of that stuff on the keys, and then perhaps remap the iMap stuff on a 4x4 pad grid for use on my Korg Padkontrol (MPC style). If anyone has any pointers to learn iMap drum chops, or to any ideas how to lay out that wisely/smartly on pads, please.. do write.
and.. I don't even have a product that uses iMap yet, however it seems way smarter than the plain old GM mapping.
