It should be in your Member's Area. Take a look. By the way, it can take up to 24 hours but if you order during our business hours it is within a couple of hours or less... in your case probably less! Like a half hour. They have to be generated manually.Siedler wrote:I don't if this was asked in the past, but why do I have to wait soooo long (about half an hour) for my serial and downloads??
Oh man, I thought, I could try out my new sounds immediately... I guess I have to wait a few hours am I write??

I don't know what the standard procedure was, but I waited for an email with the serial for a couple of days after the order confirmation from esoundz. It never came so I clicked on the "Click here to check your order status at any time" and on the esoundz site I found the serial in the user area, with a link to the IK Multimedia site, where I used the serial to register the product. Once it is registered you can choose a library. Then you can download Sampletank XT, the XT library, and the library you chose. The other two libraries (or more if the group buy continues to grow) you choose in the "Promotions" area, and download from "Sounds." I must say, it is all a bit confusing, though it works.Siedler wrote:I don't if this was asked in the past, but why do I have to wait soooo long (about half an hour) for my serial and downloads??

A question about the challenge response authorization. My DAW is not normally on the internet, but I have a usb wireless thingy that I use to update software from trusted sites. With Superior Drums 2 I had to authorize once with the NIC on and once with the NIC off, or otherwise SD2 would stop working once I turned the NIC off. Will the same thing happen with Sampletank?
So far, it's working fine and sounding good in Reaper with the NIC on.
Thanks,
John

I authorised it with my wireless network on, and am running without trouble when it is turned off, so you should be fine.2ndStringer wrote:A question about the challenge response authorization. Hey Guys, here's a nice bonus. If any of you choose any of the following Multisamples titles (note, not the loop/groove titles of similar names):
Cinematik Collection
Hip Hop Instruments
World Instruments
Then I have some extra "child" patches for ya. Now, to explain what that is... each sound has a "parent" sound which has the main (sometimes raw/dry) samples and then it has variations (often processed with effects or synthesis) called child presets. These child presets have the extension .stip at the end and they reside right next to the parent sounds (which are the .stw, .sti and .sth files of that patch name... the .stw being the file that has the actual samples in it).
Anyway, if that simple tech talk doesn't intimidate you (which we hope it doesn't) then here are some .stip (child) patches to drop into the folders of the sounds of that title. You think you can do it? If not you'll be able to just replace the whole folder of that title when IK updates it. But why not give this a try?
Alight, so again the STIP files need to be put along side the same patch name's STW, STI and STH files. They are in their sub folders.
In the case of Cinematik there is no subfolder so you just throw all the STIPs in with the rest of the STW etc. files and you're good to go! Restart or hit "relist" on SampleTank and they'll show up under the little black arrow next to the sound in the browser. Some good ones in there.
As far as Hip Hop Instruments and World Instruments, the child patches are just basic "wet" versions. But you might appreciate that and it is a freebie here so... what you would need to do is put the STIPs of the sub folder in the zip I am about to let you download into the corresponding sub folder of the sounds you have (from that title).
For example: If you have World Instruments you would put the .STIP files of the Ethnic Stringed folder into the folder of the same name in your World Instruments so they are next to the .STW, .STI and .STH files of that subfolder in World Instruments. Do the same for the Ethnic Wind and Ethnic Percussion subfolders.
Okay and if you have Hip Hop Instruments you would do the same for the subfolders (put the stips of the corresponding folders into the one you have)
Analog Elements
Hip Hop Drums
Hip Hop Guitars
Hip Hop Synth Sounds
Orchestral Elements
-----
Go ahead and try it if you have those titles (it won't work at all if you didn't buy those titles btw).
Here's the temporary link. This is totally optional: http://www.esoundz.com/tmp/ST_Child_Preset_Update.zip
I'll leave it up there for a few days. Enjoy!

Great! So far it sounds very musical, and I like the fact that it is easy to put a different sound on each channel. I control midi with a Roland-Ready Strat, so I can put say horns on the first four strings and bass on the last two. This always causes new ideas.rich_h wrote:

On the down side. Sampletank is red. Red glow through the skull eyes red. Masque of the Red Death red. Oh well. Nothings perfect!
Thanks,
John

Glad someone jumped in to explain, I do the same thing where I authorize then disconnect the wireless USB device. Works great.2ndStringer wrote:Great! I thought that a color change might be possible. Now I can get the great, all-knowing eye of watchful death off of my screen. Yes, something blue would be nice.LetUBleed wrote:2ndStringer wrote:You can change the colour - just check the manual for this. Mine for example is in a friendly blue...rich_h wrote:
