Is 2C's Aether REALLY worth it? (the answer is: yes, certainly)

After adding Creativity & Integrity, I have 609 presets in 19 groups/folders in the factory presets directory.

This is the actual number of files on the hard disk.

FWIW, I'm on Mac OSX with Aether 1.5.

Strange - I have 449 presets in 19 folders in the factory presets directory. Also Mac OSX with Aether 1.5. :?

oh god does this mean i have to count every preset now!?!?!?!
either way you guys should have 800 or so, no?
default is around 200 and each pack provides and extra 300 correct? or is it a total of 600 once expansions are included?

It should be just over 600 once the expansions are included so ajoe seems to have the correct number, but I haven't.

609 is the correct number for total presets installed with both expansions.

449 sounds like you only installed the "Creativity Expansion" and not the "Integrity Expansion" which adds another 160.

there is no need go preset counting, unless you really want to... The installers will either install or not install--though I can not imagine why they would not--so i suspect a user bug in this case. ;-)

Please run the "Integrity Expansion" installer again.

Downloaded and installed both Integrity AND Creativity again (just in case one had corrupted). Still 449 presets. Very strange...

If I knew what the preset names are supposed to be, I would know which one has not installed... (I have a feeling it's Creativity)

FYI, my presets are in: Library > Application Support > 2C-Audio > Aether > Presets > Factory

do you see "Alexandria Hall" in Halls for example?

...making preset list now... back in an hour or two...

I buyed the preset package a couple of hours ago but I haven't received any info about how to download them.
Should I expect to get it fast or may I go to bed first ?

thanks,
Luca

Very, very strange... I had loads of Halls presets earlier after my previous installations (more than 70, I think) but now I only have 13 - and this doesn't include Alexandria Hall.

BUT...

Now I have loads of Thematic presets I didn't have before.

So I must have had just Integrity installed earlier but now I just have Creativity. I'm not sure why this has happened but I'm pretty sure I only ended up with Integrity earlier after the two installations, but now I only have Creativity after the second two installations. For some strange reason, the installers seem to be interfering with each other's installations on my system (Intel QuadCore Mac, OS 10.5.8, Logic 9.0.2, 8GB RAM).

I'm gonna try a little experiment - I've copied the entire factory presets folder to another drive and I'm now going to re-install Integrity and see what happens. If I only have the Integrity presets, I'll copy the other new presets from the other drive over and then I should have the whole lot...

My hunch was correct. I re-installed Integrity and the Creativity presets disappeared. It's a strange installer bug that happens with my system.

Anyway, I copied all of the Creativity presets that I backed up onto an external drive over and I now have 609 presets. All present and correct! :)

I knew something was wrong earlier. I was really looking forward to checking out the new Thematic, Mystical and FX presets but there didn't seem to be any. That's why I needed to compare my installed presets with a complete list of new preset names - to find out what the hell was going on.

Anyway, sorted now. Phew! :)

I thought to have done the way you say ( as I usually do) but it may be that my excitement was peaking and I stepped over this, sorry and thanks for helping.

Why put it up if it's not there yet?
I love Aether and your other products but you need to be
a bit more on the ball with your website mate.

While I'm in critical mode :

You should either fix or delete the forums.

It looks bad to have a dysfunctional forum with the last posts
over a year old.

only so many hours in the day... I spent of 22 working yesterday, 18 the day before etc... and say an average of 12-16 for the last 9 months...

so yes I agree, and I will get to it...

product first though. That is what matters most. Your audience is not going to see our website, right? but they will hear our reverb. Hence priorities.

but now that it is done, yes, I am working on it.

order is:

preset lists
new audio demos
manual
the rest...
