My computer failed (G5 Quad under 10.4.11) , so I took the System Drive, put it in a new machine (Intel Mac, also under 10.4.11) and migrated my User Library etc to a new drive on the new machine.
The hope was that most of my settings & authorizations would continue to work on the new machine.
However, when I open some Logic songs made on the old machine, Logic crashes.
By a process of elimination ( using AU Manager to add the VIs one manufactuere at a time) I found out that Albino 3 was actually asking for an authorization "in the background" and that was causing problems.
So I then re-installed Albino 3 and reauthorized with my SN. This seemd to work at first, but after opening the old songs with Albino 3 in them , Logic is still crashing. The crash report has a long list of entries with linplug.au.Albino 3.
In the AU Manager , Albino 3 is shown with RobPapen as manufacturer- a bit confusing- but Albino 3 passes Au validation.
What can I do? Is there a way to do a complete de-install followed by a reinstall? Or is there some other solution please?
Thanks for any help from the LinPlug team!!
best
RR

I've noticed that the presets list shown in Albino is not the same as those shown when I go to the "Save" menu.
Albino goes, when I click on "save", to:
Library/Audio/Presets/Rob Papen/Albino 3
But the Presets shown in Albino 3 are at"
Library/Application Support/LinPlug/Albino3Banks
Which is right, and is there a proper way to organize this? If a song is looking for a preset in the wrong place, could this cause a crash?
Thx
